To start, the service was fantastic—attentive and genuinely friendly (a rare gem in Paris 😄). That said, for the price, you’re definitely paying a premium for what’s essentially a classic bistro experience.

We discovered this spot through a TikTok video, and while the 140-year-old interior is quaint and historic, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

I’d still recommend a visit, but perhaps with expectations set a little lower than “TikTok-famous.”

Went here twice. Once at night (~11pm) and once for brunch (~10am). Man the service is so slow. At night it’s super packed, but it takes an hour to even get an order in. They didn’t have the dessert I wanted so they brought me… something else without confirming. I thought the mousse was alright, but certainly not worth 15€. Cheese board too, overpriced. Hot chocolate was def not worth 13€. It was a nice vibe with tons of people chatting on a sat night though.

The servers at breakfast were pretty much a disaster though. We were a large group (10), granted, but they forgot 2 orders, forgot a component the set breakfast, and didn’t bring enough cutlery, etc. The omelette was fine, but like… not worth the hassle.

The latte is coffee + milk. Don’t get other ideas. They don’t offer whipped cream in the morning.

It takes a good amount of time to get seated.

A fantastic gastronomic experience! We ordered the salmon, the duck, the tartare and the burger, and none of them disappointed us. The burger was cooked perfectly, the duck almost melted in your mouth as it was so tender and juicy. The tartare was well seasoned, as well as the salmon.

Excellent service, no communication issues.

The price you pay is worth it to experience authentic French cuisine.

I’d recommend doing reservations as it is very busy.

What an amazing cafe! I booked a table in advance, and yet I was given the choice to pick the room and my own seat, which I did appreciate very much. I could sit back and relax while taking in all the Parisian people and life. Lunch was exquisite, from beginning to end! Since I was in Paris for a very short visit, I had to overindulge - their old fashioned hot chocolate and pastries are a delight to the palate. Service is fantastic and ambience makes you feel right at home. Will definitely be back.

Just had the most divine breakfast here. The wait staff are on another level. So fantastic 👏 They are extremely busy but still so polite and attentive. Food was very tasty. We had the Hemingway and chose the omelette which was delicious. Hot coffee ☕️ Highly recommend this amazing experience 👌

Iconic cafe at St Germain des Pres. The bakery and the coffees are really tasty. The service is very quick. However, getting a table outside when nice weather might be a long wait. Once you’re seated you feel that you’re at this traditional cafe with the classic French staples.

My husband and young son and I had breakfast at this gorgeous Parisian establishment during our stay in winter. The hot chocolate was absolutely divine, as was the coffee, juice and all breakfast items we ordered. The breakfast we ordered was plentiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience there - a bucket list item of mine for a long time! Being winter the cafe wasn’t packed which we loved, as we could immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the cafe. I’d definitely come back on our next trip to Paris!
