Came for a drink after visiting Victoria Street and ordered the haggis loaded tater tots. They were absolutely delicious and the best haggis I’d had in my trip to Edinburgh. Could’ve ordered it again 10 times over. Great atmosphere and can tell that if there was any sport on then it’d be a great place to come to.
Food was okay, but the service and entertainment is what made the night. Great cover bands and the server was fantastic! Bonus, right across from our hotel so we could drink and not have to worry about getting back.
The live music was great, lots of people. Seemed decent. The nacho cheese was burned so I couldn't pull the chips off the plate and the Irish stew was so-so, and for our first experience in Scotland, we didn't know we needed to order at the bar. When we asked staff for a menu a couple times, they got snippy with us, but we didn't know. Other than that, the staff working the bar were decent and guests were having a great time. We wanted to like it, and it had the ability to be good.
This tasty option is situated on the picturesque Grassmarket. There's something for everyone on the menu, and it's a great pub atmosphere. It's a quick walk from Victoria Street and the Royal Mile. Highly recommended for a visit and a meal!

Great pub - lively atmosphere. The salmon salad was very tasty, fresh, and a generous portion size. A bit disappointed with the taste of the Irish coffee, but overall a decent pub with lovely staff.
First meal in Scotland after traveling 28 hours. The smoked haddock's chowder was to die for! This is saying a lot considering I'm from Cape Cod. Everyone was happy with their meals. Excellent place to go.
This is one of the only bars in Grassmarket that stays open later than all the neighboring bars. A good spot for a late night cap or a fun weekend sing and dance along the live band.
