GSM Advance All Remodeling House Contractor

I've had a number of contracts work on my townhouse over the years. Some good, and some not so good. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I'm taking this moment to gush about how awesome Hagere and his team are.

After completing a job for me this Spring, I liked their work so much that I brought them back to redo my basement. They disposed of the carpet and put down some beautiful LVP - including stairs. They also found the source of an intermittent leak I asked about, which required a little more work than they expected. Hagere's main concern was my daughter's safety from any potential mold, and he made sure that they found the source before moving forward. Even with the leak, the flooring, the stairs, and another small patch I needed done, they did the entire job in under 8 hours!

The place looks AWESOME. Stairs look super-classy, there's not a single visible seam or gap in the LVP, and the entire basement has a really nice upscale feel. Oh, and I forgot to mention that their quote was incredibly reasonable - WAY under some of the "flooring specialists" who claimed to offer low prices.

I've been recommending GSM Advance to everyone I know. Don't waste your time hopping from contractor to contractor -- these are the guys you want.

I would not recommend this company, or Hagere, if details or quality work are important to you. Overall the remodel is decent but the mess that was left and many mistakes overshadow it. First, an outlet was very low with the new sink. The other bathroom would have the outlet covered. I had to point these out to be moved. The covers were moved but are not flush to the wall. One bathroom door was cut on the top instead of the bottom (to give clearance for the new tile). He didn't tell me, just glued and tried to paint it. I asked him to replace the door since it made an already old door look worse. He didn't tell me that he couldn't or didn't know how to install a new door so now i have a door that I have to force shut, then fight to open. The paint job was patchy. One sink was installed leaving >1 inch gap with the wall. And one of the toilets is actually crooked. Had this been a discounted job I would accept the consequence of that. I compared prices with a few other large companies and he was priced the same as 3 only a bit more than 1. It's my first larger remodel experience and maybe there are things I should've known so I got an expensive lesson. For a quick and dirty job you don't have to live with, this is a decent option. Hence 3 stars.
