Woodman Point Ammo Jetty

Love to go for a walk with the kids in the afternoon. Such a beautiful time spent waiting for sunset.
Lots of people in the jetty fishing. Not many go for a swim...

Morning walk on a Saturday here is just wonderful 😊

I learnt to swim by jumping off this jetty when I was a kid.

Sadly the jetty has now come to its use by date and is going to be demolished and upgraded this year 2024.

Ok for fishing but you will catch more blow fish over anything else.

Safe to jump but definitely no diving due to tides changing.

We came to this jetty to watch the sunset. It was very windy and cold in October when we came. Many people were fishing here. It was a great sunset view from here.

Very beautiful place to watch the sunset and moon rise with it's mesmerizing colours and glow. The place is also good and comfortable for fishing as they have the jetty stretched into water.Birds like pelican, silver gull and caspian tern are commonly found flying around or walking on the jetty. I really enjoy fishing and admiring the beauty of nature. It really gives me calm, relaxing and soothing effect ☺️

Such an underrated beach and park, I’m almost loathe to post a review for fear that more people will start going there and it becomes overcrowded !! It has fantastic amenities for picnics and bbqs, huge grassy areas with lots of shade and the beach is fantastic and clean. There’s a kiosk/canteen there that serves food (amazing samosas!), coffees, ice cream, cold drinks. Great to see someone finally managed to get approvals to open a kiosk. This really is a great family beach - the water is clear, and cold - perfect for a hot day! The jetty gets pretty busy if you like to jump off jetty’s.

I finally visited this solid jetty in late spring. The fishermen were not alone, they were accompanied by a human-friendly pelican. The seawater was crystal clear. Breezy at 22 Deg C with overcast. What a lovely place! (2021-11)
