First experience here was amazing. from the front desk staff Mike, to the very friendly Towanda ( I hope I spelled that correctly) and my dentist Dr. Taha. I was treated very professionally and with excellent bedside manner.

Been a patient here for more than 20 years, I should have written a review before now! A nice and professional atmosphere both from the staff and the dentists, and excellent quality care. I moved more than an hour away recently, but still travel in to DC for appointments.

As someone who hates the dentist in general the people here make me feel relaxed and at ease. Dr. Durgam is one of the best dentist I've had, she will talk to you and explain what is going on and what she is doing. I highly recommend coming here!

Dr.Durgam is my favorite. I usually hate going to the dentist but she makes you feel comfortable and she’s very professional as well as knowledgeable! She explained everything she was going to do and she was really gentle with my teeth. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Thompson ruined my crown. She put too much material first that my tooth was too high first, and then I went in again to level that problem and she grounded down too much that now my tooth is not biting at all. She also went into the process way too fast, without explaining the process that I did not get to participate in the process about if the tooth feels alright, it was too rushed that I didn't have time to assess if it was okay in the middle, and she just went on doing the job way too quickly. And when I asked my concern if the crown is too high that it is going to break, she never explained it and looked at me as if I asked a weird question. I did not appreciate my experience here and it cannot be undone which sucks. I wish I went to a different doctor.

Update *
A year later after this traumatic visit, I finally found a dentist who talks to the patients and has more personal relationships with patients than operating a tooth factory as Dr. Thompson does. I found out that the wrongly put crown was not only too high, but there was a gap between the gum and the crown because of that, and also it was a little bit side way that it also ruined another tooth by hitting it with weird angle. It became an even bigger problem when the original problem was that I only had to put the crown on. Please do not go to this office if possible. The environment is rather like a factory, you are just like the next object to be fixed on the belt instead of a multi-dimensional being.

My first, and last visit to this place due to poor customer service. I was seen by a dental assistant almost immediately which was a good sign, or at least I thought. Without introducing herself, she tells me to put my belongings in a corner on the floor, puts a bib on me and tells me I’ll be seen shortly. By who? Who was my dentist? There are a few in the office but I was never told who would be seeing me. They also were aware that I had tooth pain, but still made me wait. I waited almost half an hour in some little corner of a dental room and no one came to see me. I finally had enough and left aching tooth and all, but no without telling the receptionist how badly they treat new patients. It’s no wonder I was offered a quite few appointments. First impressions matter a lot and I should have stayed away when I saw the appearance of the office!

I hate dentists/going to the dentist/figuring out dentistry needs/going a million times to the dentist without actually managing to make forward progress on my teeth. This place is amazing. Everyone, from the receptionist, to the hygienists and the dentists themselves engage you with kindness, respect, and no judgement (a first since I was a kid). Dr. Woods is incredibly thoughtful in her procedures and recommendations. Even more remarkably, she makes a concerted effort to *explain* what she is doing, why, and what it means. She lets me make choices and guide treatment based on medical explanations and options available. Lastly, and the reason I felt compelled to leave a review, I recently wrote my appointment down wrong in my calendar! Such a stupid mistake and relatively upsetting because I was having a hard time eating. After explaining my situation, they still saw me! They brought me in, and while I wasn't able to get what I planned for done, I was able to do another procedure that will easily tide me over until I could reschedule the missed appointment. There were no fees or penalties, just compassion and understanding. I'm a little afraid of posting this glowing review in case they become overcrowded, but I felt compelled to share my experiences. Continue the good work guys!

I called ahead and very specifically asked their staff to verify that they accept my insurance. Provided my account and all relevant numbers on my health insurance card.

Took time out of the day and yet upon arrival was informed they don't actually accept my insurance provider. I understand mistakes happen, but there was no effort from staff to apologize or even recognize their mistake.

This appointment was made weeks and weeks ago, likely won't be able to get into anywhere else for another month.
