Was here for the Sabah Day Celebration, there were a lot of stalls selling local and foreign delicacy at a very reasonable price.

Came here last week since it is near to the Atkinson Clock Tower.
It may be meaningful to the locals but there is nothing much to see.

Annual christmas event by council of churches sabah

Went there during the Christmas Celebration from 13th Dec 2022 until 16th Dec 2022.
The area is quite spacious and comfortable, but if you were to visit during times when there are events held, looking for parking really is a problem.
The closest alternative other than parking near the padang, there's an open parking space near gaya street on the otherside of the road. Its a short walk to the padang, only qround 3 mins if theres not much wait on the traffic. Better park there than getting a ticket from DBKK.
Other than that, there's not much seating available, like benches and such. So for older citizens, getting a short rest might be quite difficult. The only available area to sit is probably at the side of the big flower pots and the stairs.

It was big fs. It will be fun especially during this time the year, where the Kota Kinabalu Christmas Celebration will be celebrated! See you there ❤

It's where the yearly Malaysian Independence Day march takes place in Kota Kinabalu. You may also find the odd football matches & other events. Usually used as a jogging, hangout & play area by locals. Small seat capacity & even less parking space.

One of historical places in Sabah where The Independence Day for Sabah is began here. Every year the celebration for Malaysia Day is celebrated here in 16 September
