Very nice covered bridge that essentially siphons traffic from the main area of Messiah College and leads to the parking lot and the sports complex. The bridge straddles the magnificent yellow breeches creek, a favorite of fly fishermen everywhere. In the summer you can observe fishermen practicing their art here as well as kids cooking off in the cool waters. Nice area park like in nature for kids to play amongst picnic tables and creek bank.

I believe this is all owned by the collage campus. I came here thinking it was a more outdoorsy hiking trail. Just looked up covered bridges on Google maps. Then saw pictures of the suspension bridge. That caught my eye and the main reason I headed this way. Cool hiking trail though.

Beautiful large park!!.

The kids enjoyed catching crayfish in the river. Plenty of rainbow trout visible from the bridge

It's a beautiful bridge. This amazes me that time. They can build something so beautiful like that. Must go and look at it

The best part about this covered bridge is that even though it is a heavily used bridge, there is still plenty of places to park and enjoy it. Don't forget to walk the short trail to experience the walking suspension bridge to the east.

Loved the serenity of the Yellow Breeches Creek and the history of Messiah College. The Covered Bridge is a true piece of history.
