Nice little corner in Lucca. Small and cute but the entrance fee feels a bit much for what the place actually is. My kids (10 and 11) love nature and outdoors but didn’t really enjoy the botanical gardens. Not much info around, not things to explore.

Wonderful botanic garden. Unfortunately all the signs are only in Italian and not also in, for instance, English.

With a bit of Google translate though we did read a lot of the signage and enjoyed the marvelous trees. Especially the sequoias were a real sight.

There are some exotic samples of some fabulous plants. The reception is very welcoming. Some parts of the garden is tired and uncared for, though.

A small botanical garden in Lucca. It is quite nice and not overly expensive. We paid 16 Euros for two adults and two kids.

There is a small pond in the garden, but no turtles anymore as they are invasive species.

Visited on a very hot day in Lucca. A green oasis!! The garden was established 200 years ago and has some good mature trees and shady walks. A very pleasant experience. Ignore the no photography signs. These apply to professional photographers only

Some wonderful plants and interesting sections. It was hard to find the entrance but once inside it did not disappoint. Understanding the legend of Lucida Mansi made it rather special. It could benefit from some renovation and we hope they get the funds they need to make the improvement. Still worth a visit and it's very peaceful

Beautiful arboretum and a lovely spiral walk up the knoll. The glasshouses were empty when we visited, but it's a lovely oasis in the city.
