Wonderful botanic garden. Unfortunately all the signs are only in Italian and not also in, for instance, English.
With a bit of Google translate though we did read a lot of the signage and enjoyed the marvelous trees. Especially the sequoias were a real sight.

My wife and I had an extremely nice dinner here; pleasantly surprised as we were by both the great food and the very helpful staff.
My wife has a tendency to get headaches from red wine, a man who I’m guessing is the owner of the place recommended a natural made red wine and she indeed has had no problems at all!
We drank the wine slightly cooled and loved it. The home made bread was delicious, as were all the dishes.

Wonderful church on the outside, not as interesting on the inside as you’d expect from the outside. Free to visit though.
The mummified remains of a 1000+ old saint don’t necessarily add much to the atmosphere. Must see on the outside though.

Very nice church that we wandered into by chance on a Sunday morning, and found to have some nice frescos hidden in nice places.
While it’s probably not the finest church in Lucca you’ll encounter, it is worth a visit if you happen to find it open.

The church itself is nice, going up the campanile is a must do when you’re here. It’ll give you amazing views of the city. A windy staircase at first leads up to normal stairs going all the way up to the top, leading to the amazing views.
Do go into the side chapels of the church as well for some lovely old frescos.
