This is a portion of the Padres Dam. It was part of the aqueduct which brought water from the spring in Sylmar to the fountian at the San Fernando, Rey de España (Mission : San Fernando, Calif.) Parking is difficult, but there is a small plaque.
Park on the street just to the west about half a block. There is a marker and the remnant of the dam about 3 feet high and 4 feet wide.
