Okay, so... Moving cross-country during early spring of 2020 was a challenge. Lots of (or, actually, MOST) restaurants and hotels were closed. But even then, I made SURR to swing through Sierra Blanca's La Familia Cafe (using their tiny/temporary "drive through" window.

Granted, each time I visited, I had to scarf my meal in my car/truck/moving truck. So I have never actually been inside. But hey...! The fact they were making such an awesome effort to keep ME fed during a hectic time. Not just hectic for me... But like, the whole world!

So, I pass along this gift to you... If you are en route between Arizona and (in my case) North Carolina... Or anywhere nearby... Pick up a wholly satisfying meal. More than once, this Cafe boosted my morale. And kept me rolling.

Their limited Covid menu was just... Like, seriously, such a bright spot. Especially because the cross-country trips HAD to happen. And for an out-of-towner trying to find a good meal while traveling solo? Oh! And on one trip, I had my dad with me. He ordered the burger... Which he still says was "one of the best" of his life. And I would have asked for a bite... But he was simply enjoying it WAY too much to interfere.

I am NOT looking forward to yet ANOTHER cross-country trip. But if I do, I am excited to visit the actual Cafe.

Great stop on the road! Really enjoyed their fresh chicken strips and subs. Service was very friendly and prices are good.

The food here is beyond delicious! Everything is hand made and is cooked from scratch. The term "homemade" is brought to life here.
Whether you were stopping by to look around or need to recharge for your road trip, this restaurant is the best place to find some delicious food that will fill you up!

Excellent burger stop for RVers. Easy parking off the side of the road.. The bun was the best, the beef was perfect, the veggies fresh. The Philly cheese steak was also. The fries are the best. The ranch dressing could be better. Very clean and friendly restaurant. They also have Mexican food back on the menu Monday. Too bad we missed it. I didn't get stuck on the embankment following it all the way down and a right, take a right again and there is a small park for kids to spin their wheels.

Very good food. The mix of American and Mexican food gives customers more selections. Friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of space for parking long trailers or moving trucks. I recommend this eatery.

This is a very small (5 tables) yet very busy restaurant. Food was very good, but service was a little slow when all tables were taken. If you like Mexican foods, this is an exceptional hidden find. Don't let the shack appearance scare you off, go inside and you'll be happy you did.
