Shimla Biriyani

Undoubtedly the best biryani in Kolkata

Extremely Poor Behavior. No delivery options available. I called for ordering one plate Biryani but the owner refused delivery even when the delivery address was 500 meters away and the he hung up on me.

The quality of the Biriyani is too bad... The price of mutton biryani is 130 ... But the quality of the item does not justify the price...... And the chicken chap is also worst.... I would not recommend this place at all

The biriyani was not good. It was very oily (and I mean very oily). But if you don't care about the amount of oil in your food, then I would say it was average. I have tasted better biriyani (street) at this price in Kolkata.

Now let's talk about the shop. As you can see in the picture below, it is a small shop with a very little space for 'dine in'. This is also not a very hygienic place. It's okay for take out but dine-in is not recommended at all.

Don't confuse this place with the big Shimla Biryani of EM Bypass. It's just a small cheap Biryani & Chap shop at Vivekananda Road. But the Biryani they serve for is rather excellent.

Biryani rice was not very dry, just perfectly moist. Potato was really soft. Rice tasted excellent. Chicken piece was bit hard and dry still okay for the price. It over justifies the price.

I have no complaint about their Biryani and personally I think it couldn't be better at this price point. Hope to try their Chaap as well that somehow they're not cooking in this covid period.

I'm giving 2 star for Price and Taste, otherwise for quality, I'd not give a single star. You discover cockroaches roaming all over their place. Be Careful and Health conscious.

It's a small street side shop. I used to live nearby during my college days and we visited here sometimes to have our dinner. They provide biriyani at very cheap price and the quality is great.
