Our third attempt to visit this local Gem Mine, and its all worth it for us. Our kiddos enjoyed their gem mine. Location is near the road, plenty of spot and spaces. Inside the store is cute and tons of selection to shop for souvenirs. Hot cocoa and boiled peanuts are good as well. It is a family owned store and they are very lovely and friendly. We had a great visit & experience. Please do check their hours of operation before visiting the shop.

We visited Jackson Hole Gem Mine and had a wonderful experience. My kids, age 6 & 8 absolutely loved it. We ended up buying another bucket during the same trip. After the mining portion you learn what stones/gems were found. My daughter chose one of the stones to be cut and it turned out to be a beautiful necklace/keepsake. We will definitely be back!

Great little operation where everyone was super nice. If you like dogs, added bonus reason to stop. There was a pack of five friendly ones behind the counter craving pats and scratches. This was a really fun stop for our 7 y/o.

We were greeted very professionally as soon as we walked in the door. We were out of town and got engaged on our trip and needed a ring guard. He sized me while I was there and wanted to make sure my ring was the perfect fit! With being away from home we completely trusted him and we felt valued! Highly recommend this jewelry store!

The $100 buckets were great and FULL of great gems. We can't wait to get our cuts back! The cuttings themselves were a bit pricey but I loved the time that they took to walk us through which ones were quality.
Absolutely AWESOME! The owners of this place are so nice and so knowledgeable! We bought a $50 bucket and found so many great rocks and crystals! The lady knew every one and as we would uncover them in our sifters as the water washed away the sand. There were even rocks that I thought were just gravel rocks that she identified as some Kool rocks! We found, I think, 6 fairly heavy rubies and so many other types. There was a rose quartz that was so pink!
They also have animals on the property. There were goats that we got to feed. They had 3 baby goats that were adorable!! We didn't scare them into fainting but they are fainting goats! LoL
There were also bunnies! And the mommy bunny had 2 babies! One was younger than the other and didn't even have its eyes open yet.
If you're wanting to adopt a bunny and you're thinking about visiting this place, you can get one of their bunnies, as some are available for adoption and they are all so tame and nice!
Oh! They also have a gift shop!!
I definitely recommend going here! The little town of Dillard is a nice place to visit and see the sights so make a weekend of it!!

Fun place to take the kids and for the adults. Grab a bucket of sand and go to the water trough and see what kind of cool rocks/gems you have.

Lots of cool rocks, geos, etc, to look over and purchase.

Parking is limited and situated on a Blind curve. Dangerous.

Friendly staff. Again, it's a fun stopover.

If you or your kids love Gems, you don't want to miss this place. They have small buckets for $10 medium buckets for $30 or 2 for $50, and they have large buckets for $100, but that comes with some other perks as well. We did 4 of the medium-sized buckets, and they were full of Gems. The experience and the smiles it put on our faces were worth the money spent. We also got some beautiful gems out of it, so it was a win-win! All of the employees were friendly, informative, and sweet. They have a couple of 4 legged employees as well that my kiddos would have taken home if they could have! After mining the gems, you take your trays inside, and they go through and tell you what all of the gems are and their value. They even cut and set the gems into jewelry for you if you're interested in that. We also have the option of sending it back to them through the mail and they can work with you on what they can make out of your gem and then they send the product back to you when they are finished. It's pretty cool! Even if you don't want to mine for gems... the shop is still worth a stop.

Parking is on site. We didn't need a bathroom while we were there, so I'm not sure if they have one there for public use... but I'd assume they do.
