I have been to The Philadelphia Museum of Art twice, but I have not yet been inside. On my most recent visit, it occurred to me that on my next visit, I'm going to make it a priority to go inside. I cannot comment on the interior of the museum; the exterior is lovely. If you are facing the museum, do not expect the Rocky Statue to be at the top of the steps. It is to the right of the steps on the street level in its own section. Everything about the exterior of the museum is exhilarating, from all of the people climbing the steps and shadowboxing, to the ornate statues, to the beautiful view of the city down Benjamin Franklin, to the endless photo and video opportunities. Even the walk down Benjamin Franklin is beautiful. Don't skip a visit to the Museum when visiting Philadelphia.

I'm a member and enjoy going again and again. There is so much to see and enjoy. I was quite impressed with Whistler's Mother and the entire display of other paintings of mothers. The cafe at the museum offers a wide selection of delicious meals.

Attended for Friday evening happy hour. Wonderful ambiance and upscale experience. Professional jazz singer and musician. Mixed cocktails packed a punch and white & red wine was available. Impressionist exhibit featuring rare Monet paintings is a must-see

This is one of my favorite art museums I have visited. My boyfriend and I have very different tastes and preferences and we both found many works of art that were breathtaking and spoke to our interests. The galleries are well organized and museum personnel were friendly. This is a wonderful museum to explore across styles and artistic mediums.

Absolutely great museum! I arrived early during opening time so I could experience it with less people. Free entry as I'm 18! Amazing art pieces to show cultures from all over the world ranging from Europe, Japan, India, and more. Definitely recommend if you're in Philly or just an art buff. Every room is worth stopping and staring at the outside architecture is great too with a cafe inside.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and it was quite an impressive experience. The museum's architectural grandeur is nothing short of awe-inspiring, providing a sense of cultural gravitas, especially the elevator doors! Its extensive and diverse art collection, spanning different historical periods and regions, is undeniably remarkable.

My exploration of the European art section was particularly captivating, featuring iconic works by renowned artists. I also greatly appreciated the museum's commitment to highlighting art from various corners of the world, with a special interest in the Asian art exhibits.

However, I must note a minor drawback during my visit. Regrettably, certain rooms, including the Indian art and sculpture section, were undergoing renovation and were consequently inaccessible to the public. This did temper my overall experience somewhat, as I had been looking forward to delving into those particular collections.

Nonetheless, the museum's overall ambiance and significance are undeniable. Its location also provides sweeping vistas of the city, rendering it a coveted spot for photography enthusiasts.

I'd advise prospective visitors to verify whether any ongoing renovations or closures might affect their intended experience. My rating stands at 4/5 stars, with the anticipation of enhanced visitor experiences in the future.

Really beautiful and gorgeous building. One of the most beautiful exterior areas of any American museum. The ‘Rocky stairs’ and the jet fountain outside are stunning. Walking outside and seeing the skyline of Philadelphia is also spectacular. Inside, there is a beautiful collection on Impressionist art, however, I found the rest of the museum lacked the same quality. But a great collection nonetheless. Some good Picasso, Monet, and Van Gough.
