A fantastic apartment in a very cool part of the city! We stayed in the apartment called Sol, which has two bedrooms plus a sofa bed, just the right size for our family of four, very comfortable, very well equipped, well located for sightseeing up and down Manhattan and helpful, friendly support from Miguel and Melissa before we arrived and during our stay.
The whole place is immaculately clean and very well presented. The kitchen has everything you need, including some really good coffee when we arrived and a very welcome bottle of rose wine - thank you! There were some useful things that weren't mentioned on the website too - shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom, USB chargers in the living room and bedroom, and the air conditioning was exactly what we needed as we arrived during a heatwave.
East Village is a great area - plenty of unique shops and places to eat and a couple of very friendly pubs round the corner. We're a vegan family and were amazed at the variety of cafes and restaurants where we could get a good meal nearby. There are small grocery shops nearby plus a big Whole Foods so you can keep the kitchen stocked, and the subway is very close so travelling around Manhattan is easy when it's too hot to walk.
We loved our stay and would love to come back again one day - for the ten days we were there, it definitely felt like a home from home!

Sudha’s garden apartment in East Village was in a great location and felt secure and private. Our street security, a great character called “Irish”, kept an eye out on things for us - a handy umbrella if it was raining, buzzed us when having food/wine delivered, helped with cases and a font of knowledge about the street’s comings and goings. The decor was gorgeous and the beds comfortable and the outdoor space was terrific. A couple of suggestions would be to have an outdoor umbrella or some sort of shelter for rain as there was limited sitting space to eat inside. The air con was also too warm and it seemed difficult to get it changed. Generally though, the space was wonderful - a sanctuary from which to explore NY.

I loved staying at the "Garden Duplex" in the East Village Apartments by Sudha! I have stayed at the East Village Apartments before and stayed in the "Apartment Sol." I loved how clean and neat the apartment was and how spacious it was!! It definitely accommodated our large family extremely well and had more than enough room for us to each have our own space. The location is amazing and so close to many SOHO shops. I loved walking to "the Bean" every morning to get a "dirty chai" latte and watch the city life through the windows. I have no complaints at all! I loved my stay at the East Village Apartments by Sudha.

This building, the area, the people, and the experience is absolutely exceptional!! I can’t express how awesome this place is to stay. This is our second time, but will certainly not be our last. Courtney was just great, greeting us as we arrived, explaining everything about the apartment and the local area. Even parking was managed for our vehicle (though not guaranteed) by our friend “Irish”, who took special care of us and made it possible to park outside our place for the duration of our stay.
Sudha understands what is necessary to make a large family comfortable, to give space to breath, room to gather, and an outside space to truly soak up the lower east side.
Highly, highly, highly recommend The East Village Apartments.

We had a wonderful experience in the Terrace Apartment! A great space in an exciting neighborhood. A very comfortable apartment with a fun pop of red in the interior design. The back patio was a great, private area to relax and enjoy the weather. I especially loved the steam bathtub/shower function in the bathroom. Will definitely recommend to others.

We stayed for a week at East Village apartments. .. ( the Sol apartment). The neighbourhood is fun and quirky with some great restaurants and shops within walking distance. We really felt like we had “ a home” in NYC. The apartment has everything you could want for a comfortable stay and was spacious enough for three adults. We would definitely come back for another stay!
