This is my favorite Jamaican cuisine restaurant in the area. The food is delicious and fresh everytime. The customer service is phenomenal!
If you are looking for Jamaican food I would definitely try it.

This was our first time here and we read the reviews first, and let’s say they did not lie! This is the BEST JAMAICAN food I have had in Tampa! Marvin greeted us at the door and had EXCEPTIONAL customer service! He was patient with us while we ordered and even made suggestions! The food came out fresh and hot! We ordered jerk pork and brown stew chicken! We originally wanted to take it to go, but it smelled so good we couldn’t wait till we got home and ate inside! We drove all the way from Lakeland and we will definitely be back! Come here for all your Jamaican food needs! Thank you Marvin for your hospitality!

Everything was delicious. The curry chicken, jerk wings and plantains were all cooked perfectly. I will definitely be returning here soon. Thank you!

I had an amazing experience at Jerk Pit! From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of flavor and smokiness, and the rice and sides were a delicious complement. The curry chicken was tender and flavorful, and the portions were generous. I also loved the variety of choice that added an extra layer of flavor to each dish and taste pallet. Highly recommend, Jerk Pit delivers an unforgettable Jamaican dining experience!

I stumbled across the place while here in Tampa. I’m always skeptical of trying West Indian food outside of the NYC area. But I was in town and figured I’d give it a shot. I spoke with the young lady that takes the orders and I asked what’s their best dish. She said Oxtails 1st and then their Jerk Chicken 2nd. I explained that I loved oxtail and that I’m very picky about where I try it. She assured me that it was a can’t miss. I ordered it and it was VERY good, nice size portion. I spent about $32 for the a tray of Oxtail with white rice and a Modelo. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back and try their Jerk Chicken

Delicious and wonderful experience at Jerk Pit! The oxtail was amazing, flavorful, and big!! The customer service here was also very great. I accidentally dropped my beef patty on the floor and they immediately replaced it with a new one. Overall the food here perfectly satisfied my cravings. Super tasty food and amazing customer service ☺️

First time trying Jamaican food! I got the jerk platter, which had some of the most tender and flavorful meat I have ever had. It just fell apart in my mouth and was just so delicately soft. The sauce that it came with blew my mind as well.
The coco bread was also very soft and it went well with the patty. It was my first time trying plantains, so that was cool too. They're kinda like a cross between a banana and a sweet potato to me, so not bad! The strawberry cake seemed fresh as well.
Service was good and someone - who I believe is the owner - came over and checked on us too. Respect.
This place is better suited for takeout, but they do have limited dining space. The building isn't the nicest and the bathrooms aren't the cleanest, but it's bearable. Overall a great little spot.
