Make sure you have 1 euro coins to feed the meters, both parking cost and electric take coins only. Basic park up close to the centre, electric and waste facilities available, fairly quiet on an evening/night but a busy little site, plenty of neighbours to make you feel safer.

Handy Stellplatz for overnight MH stop within 10 minutes walk of historic Hamelin, part of the Grimm Brothers fairy tale route. Stay €9 for 24 hrs: Electric €3 for 8 hrs. Water €1. Coins needed!! 25 large spaces.

This is ok for overnight but very basic and ramshackle. Take coins to feed the parking meter and the EHU. Note that the electric needs to be paid for in 8 hour batches not all at once. €3 at a time. Putting in €6 at once does not get you 16 hours. Fortunately our fridge was on auto and switched to gas during the night.
Chemical waste is a push button flush but no water to wash out tank. There is no grey water dump and no drinking water.
You can walk alongside the river through a gate in the fence, or walk along the road. It’s not too far into town but initially from the stelplatz it’s an industrial landscape but a nice riverside walk follows that. To be honest you don’t need much time in Hamelin to take in the sights.
There were a few spaces when we arrived at 4pm. However people left later on in the day. About 10 vans pulled in and pulled straight out.

Tucked out of the , way near industrial buildings. It is next to the river but I found it dirty, poorly lit, and felt unsafe. Walls both sides of parking area, for a German stellplatz this is poor.

Well located for river and town motorhome stop. Quiet and a little small. Water not available during heat wave 2018, electric points available but some not working, needs some attention but to visit the piper town it's a must
