I moved from Chicago and so glad i ended up at West Inman Lofts. The location is perfect. Right off the beltline, all the major highways just a 5 min drive away. Just like any residential building, there's always a few bad apples that ruin things like stolen packages and so on but for the most part I was extremely happy living here as a solo single female. Office is great, dannika especially. Maintenence duo is super fast n responsive. Always parking in the garage. Very dog friendly. I definitely recommend this place if you're new to Atlanta.

The only good things I have to would be about the location and price but it is clearly priced low for the area for a reason. We leased a renovated apartment and upon moving in, none of the promised renovations had been completed and the apartment was dirty. The facilities are older which wouldn’t be a big deal if they were at least clean but they are not. The pool was filthy the entire time I lived there.
As a first-floor apartment, 5 or 6 different times the bedroom and closet literally flooded from water during hard rain. Nothing was ever done to address the issue other than maintenance dropping off a fan or dehumidifier. The carpet began to develop stains from the standing water and whatever dirt was under the carpet and I had to request multiple times to have it cleaned.
Maintenance responds quickly to basic work orders but I once called in an emergency work order as water was pouring from a light fixture above and the maintenance man said verbatim “Do I really need to come? I am just going to put a bucket under the leak”. After I emphasized the severity of the issue, he actually instructed me to go to the apartment above ours as it was vacant and unlocked to try and find the problem myself. Luckily, I was actually able to locate the leak coming from a toilet and turn it off myself but I then had to request several times that they follow up on my wet and stained ceiling.
The leasing staff will rarely answer an email especially if it has to do with any sort of request or complaint. Despite all of this, for some reason, I contemplated transferring to another apartment within the community and they we not really helpful and only after our third conversation did they actually explain the transfer process.
Overall, the apartment was just fine, car break-ins and maintenance issues happen but the way the management responded to these things (or most often did not respond) was abysmal. I would truly not recommend it to anyone. Things could totally be worse but they could also be much better.

Whole staff here are great and very welcoming. All my maintenance requests have been handled by the end of the next day at the very latest. Ronnie always helps out whenever I need anything right away!

This is my truthful opinion as someone who has rented in several complexes in Atlanta.
#1. location, location, LOCATION! West inman is a block from the most fun part of the Beltline! Plenty of restaurants just a block away. We love living in such a walkable part of the Beltline. Since our time here, more restaurants and fun things to do have popped up.
#2. Dannika is the GOAT! She has been the manager at West Inman Lofts for about a year now, and I have seen so many notable improvements during her time. Specific examples include hosting community events like a pie tasting and pizza party for residents; having a security guard posted at night; and a new cleaning crew that keeps the hallways clean. Some prior reviews cite lack of communication from management, but I think a lot of these problems would be solved by meeting with Dannika in person. I always think in person communicating works better than emails and phone calls. Dannika is a very good communicator and truly wants West Inman to be the best it can be. We are lucky to have her.
#3. The apartments are huge!! You won’t find the price or square footage anywhere else on the Beltline. Yes it is an older building (15 years) for the Beltline, BUT it has a rooftop dog park, a nice pool that is kept clean in the summer, and a solid gym. Everything I could want and a block from the most fun part of the Beltline! Plus the apartments are huge!! (A big plus)
#4. Maintenance rocks! The two guys work work maintenance are best friends and so hardworking and like able. They respond quickly to requests, even driving 2 hours on a Sunday to come check on our air conditioning. They have fixed everything in our place with a smile!
In sum, read reviews with a grain of salt as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My opinion of West Inman has changed to reflect the numerous positive changes I have seen in the year I’ve been here.

UPDATE: they called me to take this review down, saying I’m lying about the roaches 😕disappointing.

This is very comprehensive but I’m trying to be fair. Overall my experience lines up with the negative reviews. We signed for the huge windows, location, and the price for how spacious it is. The other main positive is the maintenance team, who are very responsive and kind.
Cons: ROACHES. Pest control is included with rent, but this is extremely ineffective after several visits. DIY has been our best option but it’s been stressful. Different types of roaches too. Based on conversations with neighbors you can have extra issues depending on location within the building. A bunch of the first floor units flooded last winter, and units on the side that border the Marta rattle when it passs by. On our side of the building there are street lamps so bright it’s hard to sleep at night. Units facing the courtyard complain about how early leaf blowers come in. Most units don’t have a pantry (water heater door instead which is deceiving) and limited kitchen storage. Absolutely do not sign online, come see the exact unit you are signing, talk to the neighbors next door, etc. A good 1/3 of units are a really long walk to garage and trash, so manually walk these too. Nitpicky but no units have doors to closets for some reason. Living here can be inconvenient in terms of storage.
General building grievances: The amenities are low quality. so I would not factor these into the cost of your rent. For example, the pool is not maintained and doesn’t warm up in the summer or get much light. The gym is outdated- no barbells, squat racks, etc. The hallways and elevators can smell bad, and there is stinky airfresheners installed near the trash that don’t mask the scent. The communal package room is a mess and I have had many packages stolen. The building doors open with a fob, but frequently stop working which is annoying. Finally, the roads/nearest highway ramps get extremely congested at rush hour. It is right near Krog Tunnel and Boulevard Street. I often get stuck for 15 minutes on the last stretch. Again I would drive this during your normal commute to see what it’s like.

Electric bills in this property are oddly high! From $300 to $450 in the summer. My last apartment down the street was never over $100. Makes no sense. There's maintenance issues that go un-addressed for long periods of time. Loud beeps every 10 seconds that eco down the halls from some kind of equipment. Mgmt never addresses them. I had pest issues here a few times.
The general manager doesn't respond to emails, or read emails. I'm not sure she understands customer service. She seemed almost deliberately unhelpful in assisting me in exiting the property. If you want to break your lease- it’s two months rent, loss of security deposit, and a 60 day notice. I found someone to take over my lease and she wouldn't help them apply. She ignored them and told them she had no incentive to help them take over the lease. She gave me false information when I gave notice I was was leaving early. I gave them my exit date (after leasing for 3 years!) and they filed eviction papers against me anyways 1 week before my movers came. I had never been late for 3 years. Seemed out of spite. I'd never lease here again. It's too bad, cuz property is a great location and the first floor units are very large.

My experience has been fantastic thanks to a wonderful staff. Danika has been available and supportive from the day I moved in, and, when I upgraded to a 2 bedroom, Ronnie did a great job making the transition seamless! Also, the maintenance guys are very friendly and can fix anything! These apartments have their quirks and the building is old, but for the price, location, and staff, I give it 5 stars.

Pros:
Location. Maintenance team is responsive and
Cons:
It’s not luxury at all. The gym never gets cleaned and the equipment doesn’t work. The pool never gets cleaned well. Your car is going to get broken into and management won’t care or communicate about it. Matter of fact, they won’t communicate much at all about anything. They claim to have a “cyber cafe” but we went down to print something and the printers were missing. Front desk said we had to email our sensitive documents to them to print instead. Oh, and in case you want to break your lease- it’s two months rent and a 60 day notice. Also, make sure you check on your automatic rent payment because it randomly ends and you get a non refundable charge. The portal sucks and doesn’t have any of your important documents available so you have to call and ask about your lease. On top of all this they will still raise your rent each year.
Also I can almost guarantee that this review will get some automated response and will never even be addressed. Don’t move here.
