Tasman Kebabs & Takeaway

The best kebab I’ve had in years! Friendly bloke, lots of sauces and fillings. We shared one with the lot, hummus, garlic aioli and hot chilli. . Definitely will go back and get a whole one for myself 😁👍

OMG, this was the best surprise! We were on our way home from Freycinet to Hobart and thought we'd have dinner. We googled and this place popped up. We set the map in Google and it took us through the back streets of Sorell. I said, "It should be here." We couldn't see any restaurants, but looked left, there was a caravan that provided us with delicious kebabs which obviously the locals also all knew about. Very happy with our dinner. Sorry I said "See you next time." when I fly back to Adelaide this week.

Behind the Gateway shopping centre (with Woolworths) is a small white food truck. We went there because of the great ratings and reviews. We were not disappointed. The kebab snack box came with a good amount of meat and was really good. Better than one we tried in Melbourne.

But our highlight was the vegan wrap with loads of fresh vegetables and lettuce. The hummus was very creamy and the whole dish tasted really really good.

We went by at around 8pm when this was basically the only option left in the peninsula. What a find! Host was so friendly and we had a nice good chat. Pleasantly surprised to find a fusion of Indian and ME flavours with the Chicken 65 wrap. Mixed kebab and the garlic nuggets was delicious too.

He’s moving out to Sorell, so will be sorely missed here. Well worth a takeaway stop for those traveling between Hobart and Port Arthur.

Absolutely amazing Kebab, super delicious! Must try their Garlic Nuggets with garlic aioli, perfectly crunchy and super tasty! The wedges were cooked and seasoned beautifully, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside! The family deal is a real bargain!

Located opposite of the Fox and the hounds restaurant. 500m from NRMA Port Arthur Park.
We had the chicken open box and the lamb kebabs. Chicken and lamb were delicious and the chips were nicely fried. We enjoyed it so much that we had to order a second lamb kebab.
Mango lassi was nice too.
Nearby there’s a table and bench available for customers to sit and eat there.
Parking available right next to the truck.

Excellent excellent chicken kebab & mixed open kebab! Everything was spot on and my family with picky eaters loved it all! Um, the pictures don't really do the quality of the food much justice though.. 😅
