My wish for anyone seeking sobriety would be to be a part of this wonderful community. David, his managers, the residents and this life-style setting offered our son the structure, the support, the care and the guidance that was right for his situation and needs. Our son lived at SSL for two years and has since moved out with other residents to begin the next steps of living a strong and sober life. I am eternally grateful that we met David, learned about SSL and that our son chose to start his recovery and sober life in this community when he came out of treatment. I recommend SSL with my whole heart. Our family has greatly benefitted from the work David and his crew are doing - they are changing lives . . . one at a time . . . they are doing the good work and I hope that if you or a loved one need support that you can choose Seattle Sober Living.

This place is amazing! From day one David was super supportive and willing to advise us! Thanks to David and his team, we now have our adult child back! With SSL's support, we had hope and success beyond what we'd hoped for. Though you never hope to need a sober living program, should you find you do, there isn't any better than Seattle Sober Living! We are forever grateful!!!

This review is long overdue! Over a year and a half ago during the height of the COVID shutdown, we had a family crisis. My brother was finally being kicked out of his house and probably only had a couple of months to live due to health complications from alcoholism. Options were limited due to COVID. David returned my call on a Saturday, and guided us by providing several resources and discussing the options with us. My brother did eventually end up at Seattle Sober Living. Although he had been through inpatient rehab before, it did not stick. The beauty of SSL is that it gave him three month of sobriety in a structured environment with support to adapt to his new lifestyle. It gave him a chance to adjust to life's daily stresses, and he was able to establish a solid outpatient treatment. They even followed up with him after he left by providing drug and alcohol screenings to reassure his family when he came back home. He has since been alcohol free and living his best life, making stained glass, kayaking, and hiking. His health has turned completely around. We are forever grateful for SSL.

I moved into the West Seattle SSL house in August of 2020 and lived there for about 4 months. Having recently moved out I took some time to reflect on my stay and had to leave a review on the facility, tenants and staff.
I found SSL and was recommended to move in with the help of a therapist at my rehab facility on the east coast. I knew very little about the place prior to moving in, but having spoken to head of the houses, David, I immediately had a good feeling. I could tell right off the bat he is someone who genuinely cares about his tenants. Much to my expectation, his staff have been selected with the same level of consideration and professionalism.
Each house has managers assigned to provide 24/7 support to the tenants. As I believe they are all previous tenants themselves, they truly understand and can empathize with people’s situation and state of mind when moving in. Apart from the logistical accountability, the staff are guides to the local sober community and recovery scene. They know the area, people and events that are critical to cultivating a healthy lifestyle and strong personal recovery program. I cannot stress enough how important this was for me in making a smooth transition from an inpatient rehab facility. These guys regularly take time out of their day for anything from meeting recommendations, advice, and outdoor activities or just simply sitting down and checking in with you. They really care.
A plug for the house itself, the one I was in sits right on the water and enjoys some of the best sunsets I’ve seen in the Seattle area.
For anyone considering SSL, my advice is to just pick up the phone and talk to anyone working there. You’ll know right away what you are getting. If you come here and do the work, you can change your life.

Seattle Sober Living has exemplified quality sober living since it opened its doors in 2016. David G and his staff illustrate recovery and facilitate an atmosphere of direction and purpose for their clients by providing community, accountability and connection. If you or a loved one is looking for sober living and is in early recovery, there's not a safer place to land in the Seattle area.

I was a resident of SSL last year (2019). I can't say enough great things about this facility.
When I arrived, I had no idea how to get or stay sober. The wonderful staff there showed me a way that works. They walked the journey with me. Always there for me in my struggles of early sobriety.
Their knowledge of addiction and recovery is what separates them from other facilities.
If it is your time and you want it, I strongly suggest contacting them.
I am eternally grateful for their assistance in helping me reclaim my life.

I started my experience with SSL in July 2016 as a tenant. I had over a year sober when I moved in to the house, which is not typical for tenants there. However, as I was transitioning from residential treatment and moving to a new area, living at SSL proved to be one of the best decisions of my life. The structure provided and the community that was built there is priceless. James (Manager) and David (Director) truly care about the community and are examples in recovery. After some time at SSL as a tenant, I was offered employment and eventually was a full time manager at their Kirkland location. I am eternally grateful for my experiences at Seattle Sober Living both as a tenant and an employee. I now own my own sober living house back in my home state of Iowa. If you are in the Seattle area and are looking at sober livings, SSL is the best you can find!

I arrived at Seattle Sober Living right out of inpatient treatment 11 months ago. Seattle Sober Living gave me a wonderful place to call home & to work the program of Alcoholics Anonymous & go to AA meetings here in West Seattle. Seattle Sober Living gave me the ability to focus on my recovery while living in a safe environment with others who are doing the same as me in recovery. It gave me the ability to be able to talk to other men in recovery at any time & to form a family like living situation with them. The staff here are always available to talk to & to get help from if needed. I truly appreciate Seattle Sober Living more than anything in the world for what it has done for me & the opportunity to grow as a sober individual.
