Lucky Tiger Char Koay Teow opens from 7:30am, we could try this popular dish one more time before heading back to KL. 🙂

Two big prawns rested on top of the charred flat noodles, nice flavour and somewhat wok hei, reasonable price but overall not the best one I have had. 🙃
However if ones want to have CKT for breakfast, this is a place to eat. 🙂

Nice char koay teow. Quiet when we went there around 12pm on a Saturday, so the service was very fast. Good flavour and I personally liked that there weren’t too many cockles (my least favourite part of char koay teow).

From a Penangnite perspective:

CKT taste is okay, a bit on expensive side. 3 big fresh prawns for up size.

Tables and chairs are clean.

Not the best CKT in Penang IMHO but it's not bad either. Feel free to drop by if you are nearby.

One of famous Char Kuey Tiao in Penang.

Not much wok hei and the Kuey Tiao are fried into smaller pieces which not suit my taste.
I like long Kuey Tiao.

The duck egg char koay teow is surprisingly good despite its simple look. In fact, it doesn't look appetising. But taste wise, it easily one of the best I have tasted.

Full of wok hei and right balance of taste. Comes with 2 large and juicy prawns for Rm10.

Run by a couple. The lady fries and the man serves. Simple set up. No crowd or queue.

In a kopitiam that requires us to order at least 1 drink to eat there.

Worth coming back again.

I like this Char kuey teow better than the red hat. This one is savoury and have enough wok hei or charred taste to it. A few big prawns in it, and the spicy level is just nice with a little kick. It is also reasonably priced at RM9 with chicken egg, I think duck egg is 1 buck more expensive.

We also ordered some sides like the herbal soup with chicken drumstick and some lobak. Initially we didn't wanna order the soup but the fragrant smell of the herbal soup caught our attention. It was very fragrant with a balance of sweet and savoury. The best when you have it with breakfast to kickstart your day as it lets your stomach warm up before you dig into other heavy food.

Lobak, on the other hand, was average and nothing to shout about. The brown sauce was not that good cause it was a bit bland that what I have at some other shops.

Atmosphere like typical small kopitiam, got sell other food like hokkien mee & wanton mee other than the char kway teow. I bought the duck egg CKT for 10 RM. The taste not bad la, the prawn very big, juicy and QQ. The duck egg also very distinct. Just that the portion quite small.
