We loved our visit to the Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center today! It's free and as you walk up they assign you with a tour guide who walks you around and introduces you to all their turtles. She was very knowledgeable and kind. The center isn't huge but there was a good bit to see. They had a few hands on things for little kids too. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced, they even had a treasure box with free prizes for each child. It's definitely worth a visit. We went on an off and on rainy day so the turtles were inside but we were still able to see them all.

So great that they are here to inform and help the turtles out! Who doesn't love sea turtles?

Fantastic place to visit for locals and vacationers alike. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, the animals are adorable, and the information is not only fun and interesting, but helpful as well. I highly recommend going to gain knowledge about how to protect our areas sea turtles. Kim is amazing!!!

Because of what I do professionally, I've been privileged to visit dozens of nature centers and most of the sea turtle centers in the southeastern US. With this information in mind, I think the best way to describe Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center is as a strong new player in the game - a welcome and needed one at that.

The center is small with no on-site sea turtles the day my family visited. They did, however, have very friendly and informative staff who described the daily sea turtle patrols and provided accurate information about the handful of live freshwater turtles and tortoises that they had on the premises.

I'm anxious to see this group grow and thrive, and although they haven't matured into a full-fledged sea turtle center yet, they show great promise. I hope you will join me in supporting their important work.

Sadly we visited the day after the sea turtle festival, and neither the exhibits or the buildings were open. The staff was still in the process of unloading and putting stuff away.
They were very nice, and everyone there were willing to answer questions either I of my granddaughter had.
I will definitely visit again when we come back later on this year.

It was a nice little sea turtle center. It’s not too big. The volunteers were really nice.

We are so happy we found this place. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Me and my partner went there as a last stop on our trip to port Saint joe and I’m glad we did. The two ladies there were the sweetest people. And not only that they were so knowledgeable and interesting. They answered all of our questions and if they didn’t know anything they’d look it up. I wish I remembered their names. All the tortoises and turtles are very well looked after and taken care of. They’re doing amazing work. They also have some cute souvenirs and books you can buy, one of them we did. We would totally go back.
