The airport looks great. The connection with Beijing is getting better. The experience is still subpar, as it is quite unfriendly to non-Chinese speakers and to international travelers.
As China reopens, there are still few international travelers. Why? It is hard to get around. There are still many unreasonable restrictions as a result of the lingering effect of COVID. The whole system needs to be more friendly to attract travelers.

Very massive airport star shape from the above. Inside got a Chinese temple park for visitor to walk around. The SOP to check in and check out is very strict.
Busy Airport but clean and comfortable for the travelers. Great architecture and atmosphere
Nice airport with convenient train, metro and bus transport to downtown area.
Extremely large airport with a tight security, you must arrive a minimum of 2 hours before your flight.
It took me 1.5 hours to pass immigration. Arrived at 22:30pm and got to my gate at 00:00. It’s crazy, all the shops were already closed so we didn’t even go anywhere else it literally took us 90 minutes to check in, pass through immigration.
Make sure you scan and fill the declaration details when your are lining up to check in your luggage. The lines was long for security screening, followed by a bus to our gate when we had another security screening, declaration and immigration check.
There were soo many people late for their flight (45+ minutes) as they were still trying to pass immigration.
Once we got through the only shop open was Starbucks (24/7) with a long line, had to wait another 30 minutes in line as we thought there would at least be a convenience store open in a airport in Beijing.

Beijing Daxing International Airport is a relatively new airport, and one of the international airports that supports Chinese capital Beijing. It has adequate space to cater the need of changing circumstances. It is clean and tidy. The design is nice, there is an openness, so there are more day lights. The check-in area may require to be organized in a better manner.
Ne of the Devoloped city in East Asia, if anyone travel China visit this city is a good tourist spot in East Asia.
