Absolutely Amazing !!!! Worth it
The only thing made me disappointed that I coudnt go to Mount Ararat as it was inside tukey border. I could just just watch and feel it from far distance .

It’s a beautiful monastery location near to Turkey border , I really enjoyed going down to the pit , the pit little scary from Entrance but it’s very small and safe . It’s one time visit place .
Not a big complex but it's definitely worth going. Great views and marvellous monastery full of history.
The pit took a bit of time to get in.

Fantastic place. Mount Ararat is dominating the landscape turning it into a formidable spectacle. The church itself is interesting too, enabling one to climb down a dungeon where George was kept for 13 years. Lots of fun!
This is probably one of the most interesting monasteries I have ever visited. The Mount Ararat view, the call to prayer coming from the other side of the border which has been closed for three decades. The serenity of the place despite the tourists like myself. It was a surreal experience in a sad and an interesting sense. Let's hope peace will prevail and the borders will be lifted one day in the Caucasus
A place with amazing scenic beauty and cultural significance. You will find a wonderful view of mount Aramat and the valley. The way they maintained road is certainly commendable.
A rather nice looking monastery, but the highlight is that you can see Mount Ararat from it. Also, the monastery is rather crowded compared to some others in Armenia.
There's the main building and a few other smaller rooms around. You can exit through the back wall and climb up in order to see it from above.
On the way from the parking lot to the monastery, you will see several snacks and souvenirs sellers.
