Social Bean was my little getaway during lunch. I had spent one month at an organization down the street on internship and would come in everyday. It is filled with the most amazing people and food was my comfort for the duration of my stay. Part of me wants to travel back to Cape Town just to visit this place (see you in two years!)
The Social Bean is a wonderful coffee shop/restaurant with the most friendly staff in all of Cape Town. I worked around the corner for 2 months and came in quite often to enjoy coffee and lunch. Everything I tasted was incredible and the staff was friendly every single time I went in. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!! You won’t be disappointed.
Lovely little coffee shop next to Rondebosch Station. Quiet, clean, and owner-managed. (I think.) A regular spot for a Saturday morning coffee and light breakfast.
I just love buying meals at the Social Bean Café. The owners and staff are genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Their breakfast toasted sandwiches and breakfast wraps are delicious and filling. Lunch options are scrumptious, as well as the sweet treats (Cake, biscuits and muffins😊Thank you Michelle and Rob for your amazing service and tasty delights from Social Bean!😊👍✨

Wonderful, strong, unpretentious coffee at great prices. Visit on a Sunday morning to have the place all to yourself.
Feb 2020 update: Flat white is still R25 and good! R39 Rise and Shine breakfast is good value too if you're peckish but not ravenous.
