The beach lovers nilaveli

We were supposed to stay one night only but our stay lasted for 5 days. We came as guests and left as friends.
Tbe place is right in the beach and provides excellent services such as massage, fishing, scuba and snorkeling,…the staff is extremely friendly and professional. The Bungalows are built in traditional way, clean.
The food is excellent. We had fresh juices and mixed salads almost every day. The bartender made excellent pina coladas … Dasun, Chathu, Darshan, Ashok, Sudan,, Shon and other staff made a lovely birthday party for my spouse.
Thank you all for making our journey unforgettable.

The hotel that has more a hostel flair is right next to the beach and the furniture is cute. There is techno music playing, which is nice while laying on the beach, but woke us up as it started playing really loud at 7 o'clock in the morning. However the rooms are small, there is not much room to put your stuff. Also we sometimes had a really bad smell in the bathroom. Be aware, that the rooms have small open gaps due to the wooden structure, so animals like rats can enter the room. So please make sure you do not have any food in the room as it will attract the rats. The light in the rooms are dark. The staff is friendly and the beach in front of the hostel amazing! I think with a little bit more care, like cleaning the outside furniture more often, changing the lightbulbs in the rooms etc this hotel could be an amazing and cozy place!

In Nilaveli you have poor options, but beach lovers is one of the few bars with some vibes and pretty good service.
The food was good, but prices were expensive compared to Sri Lankan standard.
You also have the possibility of laying on their sunbeds all day long.

We spent the whole day there chilling on the mattress and ordering fresh juices, iced tea or cocktails all day. Definitely recommend the Pina colada it's made with fresh coconut, not something you get in Europe. Fairly cheap compared to other beach bars we encountered. Really good place for relaxing during the day and even partying during the night.

We were walking along Nilaveli beach in May and we were immediately drawn to the chill vibes and good music of the place. The staff were very friendly and know how there know how to treat you. The bartender made the best piña coladas. The food was also delicious, we loved the chips seasoned with curry leaves and the highlight was the delicious fish they cooked for us, fresh from the sea.
We would definitely visit next time we are around.

It is true what is written on the entrance “Come as a guest, leave as a friend”..
We stayed in this amazing place just for two nights but it has been our best moment of the holiday. The village is cozy and the guys who work there are incredibly welcoming.. We felt totally at home, drinking and dancing in the beach together not as guests but as friends.
We definitely recommend this wonderful corner of paradise.

Paradise for eating well, relaxing and enjoying great food and drinks.
The staff is really nice and very friendly.
Amazing boat trips and diving can be arranged.
The cabana have the minimum dispensable, but I recommend everyone to come because really the stay is unique!!!!
