1. For me, going to the embassy is as close to going home to Zim as I can get for now, but the woman who mans the front desk and is the first interaction for anyone entering the embassy leaves a bad taste in one's mouth that makes me never want to go back. She is a very poor representative of Zimbabwean hospitality and grace. She is a rude know-it-all who does not listen and makes judgements without having all the facts. She shows disgusting displays of power-tripping, which make people feel small and stupid when they have come from far away to do business with the embassy.
2. The embassy needs to improve communication via email. I contacted the embassy via email well in advance of my appointment to ask clarifying questions about the passport renewal process and got no response. It also would have been nice if the embassy sent out its announcements of traveling to other states like GA or CA in an email so I could've processed my paperwork in GA and saved myself a wasted trip.

This was an absolute pleasant experience at the Zimbabwe embassy. Jesse the person at the front desk was a delight and made the process simple. Her clear explanation and detail was very helpful. I appreciate all the efforts from the Zimbabwe Consular.

The level of service and care here is exceptional. Same day processing of my ETD. I was in and out in less than an hour. Thank you and kudos to the great staff on duty.

After a rocky, no response last week for updates about our 1984 Marriage Certification authentication, I am happy to report that, after my call this Monday, to The Consulate, Mr Buhera helping to explained the process for our documents - we have them back within 5 days !! Datenda
My only concern is that the lady answering our calls is unwilling to give us her Name - knowing that manners, is our strong point, when addressing others !!

The receptionist is so mean and disrespectful. It’s so difficult being in a foreign country and feeling like you cannot reach out to your embassy because of the mean lady who clearly has no intentions to help you. What a shame. And it’s even more sad because it’s not like anything can change. I wonder how many intentional students have been affected by her attitude.

The worst service I’ve had in this location. The woman at the front desk is extremely rude. Rudest customer service one can ever imagine. The lady didn’t want to serve customers because they we’re about to close at 3pm our appointment was at 2pm. We made appointments two months before but she was so rude. How can you be our ambassadors and be rude to your people over seas.
Zimbabwe needs to change. Rude employees, rudest employees i have ever met in America. I’m so shocked. We come all the way from Michigan and Texas for this worst service. The audacity not to respect people who have traveled all the way.
We called and they said its okay to apply without an ID since some left Zimbabwe at a young age but the lady was asking why did you leave without an ID. I left when i was young you wanted me to wait until i turn 16 because your Embassy will question me. This is so embarrassing.

Phones constantly engaged, offices closed in the morning we have to wait for many hours for someone to come to do the notary. Mind you I have driven all the way from El Paso. I was extremely disappointed with the bad service. This was July of 2013. If possible would have given a zero star.
