Vale Village is a series of student friendly apartments and accomodation options. There are several options like the Chamberlain, Maple Hall, Shackleton and others. I suspect that the hostels are perhaps managed by the university of Birmingham.
Stayed here for a conference at the University..i was at the chamberlain tower. It was okay..had all the amenities in the room that you would expect in student accommodation. There is no air conditioning and it gets really warm in the room. I found the mattress a bit uncomfortable and the pillows too flat. I was only there for 2 nights so can't complain too much. Ensuite was fine, the pressure of the shower is brilliant - very powerful and easy to control water pressure and temperature. Could benefit from a bin in the bathroom but I appreciate it's not a hotel. I paid £50 per night so £100 in total and for the price it was well worth it. Not a hotel but did the job for short term stay.

Beautiful lake! Lots of baby ducks and swans, lovely green space to walk around.
So surprised to discover this peaceful scenic lake inches away from a road which Iv been up and down all my life.

Work has a volunteer for the Commonwealth Games looking after the athletes I drive a buggy for the 17 days I worked here loved it
Always a nice ambience around the lakes. The students are all so calm and tranquil. They seem to keep their chaos out of sight. I nice detour off the canal tow path
