Best sunset view in Vancouver
This place is hard to find and I couldn't actually get there. From what I understand, it's a view of the waterfront and the bridge and a trail. I just saw the view from the trail and then went home.
Beautiful trail.
Such a beautiful spot. We went for a hike in the rain and wow did all the greenery pop! The main trail was nice but the smaller dirt trails were so much fun. The ferns were gorgeous and the fog made it look so magical. Rain or shine we highly reccomend!
It is easy trail for family.
Cool trail. There’s a big gravel path but there are many small hidden trails throughout the forest. Be careful because there’s lots of growth and the trails can be very steep and slippery.
Peaceful forested gravel path along the river, though you can very clearly hear noise from the industry along the river. Views are obstructed by trees. Path is about 2m wide so decent for social distancing. Some slope to the trail, with a few areas being quite steep.
Hiking downhill from Stratford Park across Scenic Park is only about 15-20 minutes. About double that for the reverse, going uphill.
I would advise you start from the western side (Penzance Dr), which is the lower side of the trail, and work your way up the hill so you can return downhill.
Street parking without restriction is available on Penzance, just past the trailhead.
