Called in to gain clarity on parking permit issuance as the app and procedures are not clear online. The first agent I spoke with was extremely combative, dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. Nothing was clarified, seemed as though this agent was looking for any reason to attempt to argue and put me down for simply being confused. I called back and spoke with Jessica, and she deserves 20 million stars. She was polite, helpful and kind. I relayed the first interaction to her and applauded and thanked her for her assistance. It’s not hard to be kind and treat others with respect. If you want respect, give it. I know now when I call for anything, I will only ask for Jessica. It’s sad though that simply being nice is so rare. The DC Government is overall rude to residents who are white, and let’s be honest, you can tell race over the phone many times. This is disheartening and racist and the initial agent, should be spoken to and given another chance to learn to treat all people with respect.

The DC Department of Transportation (aka Gridlock Bureau) certainly has failed to manage vehicular traffic in all corners of the city. The bureaucracy is staggeringly lethargic and amateurish. DC traffic belies how poorly this organization performs.

A Tree fell on my car and while im aware tort handles the claims the money is issued from DDot. Its been 3 months since i received a crushed hood, shattered windsheild and chassis damage from two huge branches. I have called multiple people and about 66% don't answer their phone and/or never respond to voicemail.

They have 0 accountability and use language on speed of the claim that gives them as long as they want to send the money ( 30 to 90 days or more).

Furthermore i decided to come to the building in SE to speak with someone on a friday and they said they are closed. Its 3:00 and a government building thats supposed to close at 4:45 is closed already.

I am a very patient person but this is absolutely ridiculous and i get no communication at all. I had to pull it out of some one who the (Third party issuer) was and low and behold it's DDot.

They are so inconsiderate and slow that the tree that fell on my car has been chopped down for well over a month and they can't issue a check to me for the damages, After 3 months.

If you need a moving truck permit, you will need to visit a kiosk at a police station to print the sign. Beware that the instructions that come with the sign are *wrong.* You can no longer call to get permit verification. Online only. And their TOPS system goes down occasionally, so do all of this as early as possible.

Zero stars from me. Unprofessional and extremely incompetent. The staff does not follow up or follow through on emails until you ask for a superior and your request goes unacknowledged. The recruitment staffing and administrative division needs to be evaluated for the lack of competence and job commitment. I asked for a supervisor so that I may express my concerns and I got nothing. Everyone in this City matters and the staff in DC Government don't seem to agree. They're getting paid yet they provide poor service! A Disgrace!

The plans for the Dave Thomas Circle looks stupid. If you think the transplants are confused now..just wait. I personally never had a problem navigating the Circle. Any smart person would know what lane to be in prior to the Circle. Way to waste money DC..

Very confusing website. Instructions to get an emergency no parking sign are incorrect and although everyone on the phone was nice, I was not given the proper instructions through the website. I’m moving out and some randos parked in my reserved spot. DDot and parking enforcement were no where to be seen after hours of being on the phone with them. Not helpful whatsoever when moving. My suggestion would be to update the website to be more user friendly and to make the instructions clearer. Again, every customer service person was very kind but I was not given the correct instructions.
