Koto Asian Fusion

I don’t usually like to leave poor reviews, but I feel called to share our experience. I’m a server myself and usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but our server was honestly challenging and not very knowledgeable on the menu. When we asked questions, they wouldn’t give us answers and just say sorry instead of going to check with the kitchen or someone else working. It was also slow, so it’s not like they had several other tables. The server also argued with my friend about her dish. My friend wanted to order the eggplant basil tofu dish and our server just kept telling us they could only do it with chicken. After going back and forth for a while, my friend finally gave in and said they would just take the chicken. Five minutes later, our server came back and said they could do tofu after all and asked which dish she wanted. My other friends got the Black Witch Roll, and they thought it tasted a little funny, but they just wrote it off because we were pretty done dealing with our server. They both had stomach issues that evening, and no one else did. I’m not saying it absolutely was from the sushi roll, but that’s the only common denominator we could find. One of my friends also ordered an espresso martini and there was an option to add Kahlua. She did not ask for the Kahlua because she didn’t want it, but they added it anyway, which was an extra charge.

I absolutely adore this place! The food was delicious and came out quickly! I had to run because I had a tour planned but I was pleasantly impressed by how courteous they were!
Some older woman started to yell at the manager and she remained so calm I wanted to fight for her, but I notice her professionalism!!
The place was clean and they were accommodating, I recommend this place hella!
The prices were very well decided for their food! The fish was fresh and delicious <3

We came to Salem for the Halloween experience and found this place because of karaoke night on Sundays. Not only was that fun but Annie was our waitress and she was amazing, as busy as it was she was very attentive to us. The food was great! We had the ramen soup, goyzas, crabragoons, a huge sushi roll, the avocado salad, miso soup, kasu chicken dinner and the Asian pear martini..ALL OF IT WAS DELISH! if your in town definitely come check this restaurant out! it will not disappoint.

At $17 a plate I figured one entree of sesame chicken and two bowls of miso soup would be enough for my partner and I. I was wrong. The portion was astoundingly small for the price with two tiny pieces of broccoli. For one person, yes. But for the price, absolutely not. At least provide rice. (would have been an additional $5). That said the food was delicious, soured only by a mandatory gratuity added automatically.

Food gets a star for taste, but overall rating loses that average star because of everything else.

Delicious every time I come here. The general tao's cauliflower has perfect spice. Hokkaiyaki was spectacular. Their specials are always inspiring.

We just stopped for a sushi roll and a delicious local cider. Great sidewalk dining option. The roll was very good and our server was wonderful.

I have been here a few times and each time it has been pretty nice. They have a lot of items on their menu and some unique rolls. I think the portion sizes are good and the prices aren't bad. I will be coming back here the next time I'm in the Salem area.
