Alpenblick Bar

Stopped here for lunch in terminal E before heading back to SFO. Ordered a tall ittinger beer and couple of salads. There is a large seating area with comfortable seats. Great place to eat and spend time before catching the flight.

The food was good. Had a small sandwich and a cappuccino. But the prices were very high. Even for an airport. My two items cost over 11 CHF almost 14 US.

HON lounges are always a pleasure. Alpenblick Bar almost makes you forget why you came to the airport. Great views, pleasant staff, delicious food.

Very polite chap behind the bar. Stopped off for a quick snack and beer while waiting for my flight, good views over the airport and very relaxing atmosphere. Thanks

Decent place to grab a drink and a snack but the female server was rude. She had a hurry up attitude and get out of my way even though there were only 2 customers after me.

Normally I wouldn’t sit down and eat anything at an airport but I was starving and this was the only place close to my gate (Terminal E).
€8.50 for a tiny pretzel sandwich was ok. But €6.50 for a cup of orange juice that looked halfway drunk already… was NOT OK. When I asked for the orange juice I thought they were going to fill it up for for me at the spot as the menu indicated it was fresh, but the staff just picked up a cup that was sitting behind the counter (probably for several hours).
Trust me I took the picture before I even touched the food or drink but it looks like someone sipped the orange juice already.

The only place in terminal E where you can eat something. Not a lot of choice and super rude service. The guy barely spoke English, was rude and did not want to heat up the pretzel. Eat somewhere else before getting to terminal E.
