FU International Academy Tenerife

i just finished a 2 week refresher course covering up to 2.1, school is a top notch organization and very close to the old town and excellent beaches, they offer a practical approach for those longing to improve their Spanish!

I studied Spanish with FU Academy for 1 year and I loved it. The staff and teachers are super helpful and friendly. The classes are a good mixture of grammar, culture and daily usage of Spanish. These studies improved my language skills a lot. Thanks to all the team of FU International Academy for such a great experience!

Whether you're thinking of taking up a course in general Spanish or Spanish for Teachers, which is what I did, you can't go wrong with this school! My teacher (Haridian) was fantastic as well as all the other teachers I observed (Sara , Vanessa, Lorenzo) and had a chance to see in action;) All the staff were always helpful and nothing seemed to be a problem or an obstacle. They organize a variety of activities that you can choose from (Salsa or Surf lessons, yoga, etc.). The school is really conveniently set next to a café (it's got a fantastic terrace) and there are shops and restaurants near by as well. For all the above mentioned, and much more, I really do recommend the FU International Academy and hope to be able to come again!

I have just finished 6 weeks here in FU Academy. The school is a nice modern building about a 25 minute walk from the centre of puerto de la cruz. The teaching is very good, I started as a complete beginner and I am now pretty confident with basic conversations while going about my day in puerto de la cruz. The teaching is done through Spanish the majority of the time so your native language does not matter. I had Lorenzo, Sandra, Vanessa, Rosemary and Sara as teachers all of whom were very good. You switch teacher each week which is a nice change to the standard classroom environment. I also booked my accommodation through the school and was very happy with the quality of it. There is a cafe attached to the school with very affordable drinks and food throughout the day if you like. There are lots of activities hosted by the school such as salsa classes and yoga and I found it easy to make friends while here. I would recommend doing the conversation classes when you reach an A2 level as they’re a great opportunity to get practical speaking experience.

I joined Bildungsurlaub program and learned Spanish with FU. I really love the atmosphere they created for the students. I feel the procedure of getting shared apartment key can be improved. In general, I’m very happy with all the teachers and classmates. Amazing experience I collected here with FU and amazing people I’ve met in my life. 🥰

FU is a really excellent modern academy to learn or improve your Spanish. The building, courtyard and cafe are super. The teachers are incredibly experienced, funny, warm and knowledgeable. It is in the beautiful town of Puerto de la Cruz and offers a wide range of extra curricular experiences - many of them are free. Really is one if the two best language schools I have ever attended.

The school was very good and I learned a lot. The teachers spoke calm and clearly and there was a lot of interaction with the class. There are also a lot of activities the school organises for the students that are mostly free of charge (except for like wine tasting or surfing).
Only thing that did surprise me is that the most people who go there are middle-aged germans. I am 22 years old and I was by far (one of) the youngest that took the spanish course. However there still are some younger people at the school so had a lot of fun.
