Didn’t deliver on its exciting premise. Most of it was like walking through an exhibit, where you read signs and learn from little film loops. But the whole thing was about the rituals around the death of Eqyptian kings at the time, with too much emphasis on the least scientific aspects; that is, the Afterlife. The final room was the most disappointing: a Disneyesque imagining of Tut’s journey and arrival in his afterlife that was based on absolutely nothing but the mind of a fantasist. And hello, SOUNDTRACK?? Nothing but rumbling bass and the meandering sounds of antique instruments. Why not some specially written songs, or some exciting world music? And why no mention of the famous curse, which is most of what people think they know about the discovery? Just a baffling misuse of resources that dumbed down a great story to something like silliness.

I have been to digital art and mixed media exhibits before and this falls at the bottom of the list! The journey of King Tut through the afterlife is suitable for a classroom of second graders! Everything else is photos and videos of knowledge that can be found across the web. Disappointing!

Definitely not worth the money!! Wish we had known that we could’ve cancelled 24 hrs prior to the event and save our money, but we had read the reviews too late. Sad that National Geographic sponsored this. There are no artifacts of any kind….I think we walked through the whole thing within 30 minutes

3 out of 5 stars: 1 star minus - parking is $40 (+5 if paying with cc). Seriously?
2nd star minus - experience starts great as an introduction but as you walk through it, it looses you as to why and what…. Information is not chronologically laid out and artifacts, although historic, loose its importance. The final act felt more of a cartoon then an experience. In the end we walked out and were still curious what was this all about.

What a let down…..save your money, watch a documentary on tv. Parking $40, toilets out of order, had to go in a port-a-loo outside, couldn’t even wash our hands anywhere after, it was a couple of plaques to read walking around, then a very strange animated film in a big room. The VR ‘experience’ was a 5 minute video, which was cool enough but too short. Completely underwhelmed with the whole thing. Sorry for the bad review, but I wouldn’t want anyone else wasting their money

This was a great family experience! My sixth grade and ninth grade sones both appreciated it, and my mom and dad thought it was both beautiful and fascinating. My sixth grader enjoyed contributing some of his own observations that confirmed the Egypt unit he is currently working on in school.
The rooms were spacious enough that you never felt cramped and the lighting was so cool. We rehashes the things that amazes us in the train ride home. Even though it was a rainy day, we were able to walk around outside under the bridge. A lovely experience!

My experience has been unsatisfactory the VR and Video were not working I paid for two tickets 60.00 dollars extra for ea. tickets, at the end when you arrive at the store the manager they let you choose something in the store that costs 60 dollars or less but it does not have many things to choose from and you can choose only one thing less than 60.00 dollars and if something costs more than 60.00 dollars you cannot choose even if you want to pay the difference so in the end you end up losing your money don't buy the VIP package because they don't give you a refund.
