Swagat Restaurant

Swagat is simply the best North Indian restaurant in Munich, no contest. We moved here from London over 9 years ago and have tried a lot of Indian places in town, but none of them come close to Swagat.

The food is fantastic, just like the real thing. But what really makes Swagat shine is the excellent service. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and that's why it's the only North Indian restaurant in Munich that we keep going back to.

Highly recommended if you want to enjoy great North Indian food and great friendly service!!

✓Best atmosphere, pretty vintage touch and very pleasant with touch of 'Gazal' in background makes it more beautiful.

I had warm welcome by the staff there.
I was there with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday. They give us a nice quite table inside.
Food was really amazing and tasty. Best Indian food I had in Munich so far. Food was served with many accompaniment and sauces.
Service was really nice, friendly and quick.

I was so surprised with my lunch today! All served food were delicious. Best Indian food ever. We really enjoy the food. I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the short amount of time it took to receive it. Our waitress was sweet and kind. I will definitely be back!

Wow! Wow wow!! I am blown truly away. This is hands down my favorite restaurant I have ever been to. I could not express that enough. I have been here 4 times and each time it somehow gets better. I absolutely love sitting inside as the atmosphere and ambiance is so unique. As for the food, the chicken saag and chicken tikka masala are to die for. I have never tasted so much flavor in either of these dishes before. The garlic naan makes you want to order 10 more. The on the house sauces that are brought out with papadum are a delight to the taste buds. I am saddened that I do not live in München to come at least once a week to enjoy jokes with one of the waiters. When I am in town I will definitely make time for a dinner here! Service here was slow and a bit pushy last night. The food was OK, but overly salted. And we were seated right on the noisy street though when we came in there were plenty of other tables available. Kerala is just across the street and much better.

The food is really really great the lamb is soft the sauce wow wonderful lamb meals
But I was disappointed with the salad its 9.50€ and I did not like it at all especially the coriander
The rice is good but I thought it would be more special but it was really normal no flavour or special taste in it
It is good overall
I recommend it
My advice to go earlier than you are planning because it is too crowded
