Newport RV Park

Great campground! Beautiful, well maintained sites, super friendly staff, laundry, playground, clean bath houses. There is also a beautiful dog park a short walk away and hiking trails as well. I defintely plan to return and highly recommend it to others!

We had reservations for 09/01. My mother entered hospice on 08/31 and passed on 09/06. Facility responded a week later to state we did not provide 14 days notice. That was obviously impossible.

They then took another nine days to respond. They offered a credit for the remaining season however our remaining season was already booked.

The facility has not responded since after repeated attempts.

I fully appreciate you cannot rebook our site on such notice, but how many camper's mother's pass away the same week they are to stay. I have a death certificate to prove this!

An exception to the policy should be considered. We were just asking to rebook for 2024.

First time there. Great friendly helpful staff that answers their phones always. Do the research on type site you like through their site map. My favorite spots were down at the bottom row near site 211 with lots of tree protection with plenty of shade. Some are full sun on the upper level. Close by to hot spots of Newport along with many other sites to see. Nice secluded spot at night and quiet. We used our AT&T and Verizon hotspots and both worked well. Our Verizon cell service was fine. We spent a week there. I recommend a safer entrance and exit to the site using a traffic light to cross. If headed north on 114 use a left onto Stringham Rd and a right onto Sullivan Dr.. Crossing Rt144 onto Bradford Ave. with your Rig can is hazardous because of the high speeds and volume of traffic. I'll be back next season

I have been visiting this park for many years attending area Newport Music festivals. It is well run and very clean. They have expanded by adding more RV sites which are crowded. I prefer the older wooded sites area. There is a very small playground I hope they have plans to improve! Great accessibility to downtown Newport and beaches as well.

There are some really nice sites in this campground but we unfortunately were in a new area that was not shaded or kind of private like the nicer sites. The restrooms are good. The laundry has two washing machines but only one of them is working and a seasonal camper told me that it hadn't been working since May.
The staff are very nice and very helpful. This campground has great potential, but it has no pool or amenities and it's one of the more expensive campgrounds we've ever been to.

This place is great- clean, quiet and well-kept. The RV spaces are good sized and we were easily able to back up our vehicle /RV despite being pretty new to backing up! Bathrooms are amazing as they are air conditioned and thus smell better than ours at home! While we’d like to do the full season, it is quite pricey. $$$.

A+ overall.

We have stayed here twice now. Friendly staff, nice campground. A variety of both wooded sites or newer more open sites. Great location not far from Newport. A little pricey but it is the Newport area and still much cheaper than a hotel in town.
