The show is every hour and different every time. Best part is that it is free. There is a lot of crowd to watch these shows.

I believe the fountain show is either every half hour or hour. I highly recommend that you get there early it does get extremely crowded the further back you are all you will see is a bright mobile screen...
It is quite a spectacle with music and I suppose it's nice to see not my cup of tea.

Spectacular light show. The sound and water are so combined. You can enjoy fountain show without any cost.
You can take boat ride to go closer to fountain at around 20 AED. There is also stand pad on the water which also bring you closer to the fountain.
Must visit after sunset.
