This ancient laterite fort on the Chapora river, although long since abandoned from a military standpoint, is nevertheless majestic and an enduring historical monument. Known for its spectacular views and sunset vistas, this is a popular spot for tourists to visit especially in the evenings. Parking fee is 100 per car. Visit near vagator beach 🏝️ its a awesome beach. Vendor near fort are very polite must try mango carry and lemon soda.

Views from this fort are simply stunning. Carry sunglasses, head gear and sunscreen. On a hot day it can be daunting to climb the fort.

i will rate this place a five star. the fort is beside the Arabian sea . the scenic beauty of the place is just mesmerising. any one can sit on the wall safely and pass the time by looking at the ocean. there is cool natural breeze and greenery . there is also a place of walking distance near the beachside. at the end of the road there is 360 degree view. overall the place is nice and beside the fort there is a beach named Vagator which is very pleasant . if any one is visiting goa this is a must visit place if you are attracted to nature .

Not maintained well but the view here is just awesome. Your trek will be totally worth when you get to witness such an awesome view from the top. But you have to be a little bit extra careful. F
Don't take risk for taking pictures.

Chapora Fort in Goa offers a blend of history and stunning panoramic views. Perched on a hill, it's a trekker's delight with a relatively easy hike to the top. The fort's ruins whisper tales of Portuguese colonial rule, and the vantage point provides breathtaking vistas of the Arabian Sea and the nearby Vagator Beach. It's particularly magical during sunset. However, the fort itself lacks extensive historical information, so a local guide or some prior research can enhance the visit. While Chapora Fort may not be the most imposing fort in Goa, its charm lies in the scenic beauty and the tranquil ambiance, making it a worthy stop for travelers exploring the state's historical sites.

Chapora Fort is one of the oldest forts and it is a famous place in North Goa. The fort offers picturesque views. The fort is nestled between the Arabian sea and the Nerul river. The top of the fort is just beautiful with the views of the sea and the river.
It is a short hike up the hill and it might be a bit difficult for senior citizens. It will take about 20-30 minutes to reach the top of the fort. There are many small shops that sell fruits and hydrating drinks for the tourists near the parking lot. The price of the products are definitely a bit hiked.
The fort's cleanliness definitely needs some action. The top of the fort has so many plastic bottles and wrappers thrown around the place. It is saddening that a fort with such beautiful views is not being taken care of by the tourists and the administration. Overall the Chapora Fort is definitely a must visit place in North Goa.

Chapora in North Goa is a hidden gem that stole my heart. This serene coastal village offers a picturesque setting with its golden sandy beach, clear turquoise waters, and rocky cliffs.
The panoramic views from the Chapora Fort overlooking the Arabian Sea are simply breathtaking. The tranquility of the surroundings and the gentle sound of the waves create a soothing atmosphere.
Chapora is a must-visit destination in Goa for those seeking natural beauty and a peaceful getaway
Only the main entrance to the fort and partial compound still stands. The entry to the fort is free and it closes by 5PM.
