Bristol Cathedral is a remarkable medieval hall church with a unique design featuring vaulted ceilings in the Nave, Quire, and Aisles, all at the same height. This creates a spacious and elegant interior adorned with beautiful arches. The cathedral is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Saturday & Sunday, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Inside, you'll discover an exhibition and educational signs, making it an excellent place to explore during your visit to Bristol. The architecture is undeniably breathtaking, and the church exudes a sense of tradition, spirituality, and peace. No entrance fee and we are allowed to take photos.

Bristol Cathedral is one of the finest examples in the world of a medieval hall church, where the vaulted ceiling in the Nave, Quire and Aisles are all at the same height, creating a light and airy space with a series of elegant arches. Splendid architecture.
It has always been a living place of sanctuary, teaching, prayer and music right in the heart of the city. Must not be missed, indeed.

I'm incredibly impressed with the efforts the cathedral is taking to acknowledge the cathedral's links to slavery and be transparent about the way it has benefited. This is something that other institutions, including museums, should be doing across the country.

Stunning architecture! The cathedral also had an exhibition and lots of educational signs. Great place to visit when in Bristol.

Visited May 6, 2019: Beautiful architecture, but have to highlight the back area, since not all cathedrals have such, and how much of a peaceful atmosphere it had.

The nearby City Council building makes for an even more inviting area before you enter the cathedral.

Really enjoyable visit, the stain glass windows are beautiful, plenty to explore with a quaint garden to recharge your batteries in relaxing on one of the seats. Well worth a visit!

My first visit to Bristol Cathedral, a place for both reflection and contemplation whether of any religious faith or none. I especially enjoyed looking at the Oil Fountain. It is good to see a traditional institution like the cathedral engaging in interesting ways with today's world and the issues that affect us.
