Brighton West Pier
2023 Dec 13
Visited April 16, 2019: Something about destruction and memory that conjures up vivid mental images of what was and what could have been, remnants standing (and trying) the tests of nature and time. The pier really does capture the eye and imagination, sticking out like a blot due to its appearance, and yet it doesn't at the same time. If anything, it becomes even more captivating, its beauty rising from the ashes of disrepair and rust. It's like a ghost, an enchanting one, one that, by its proximity, instills wonder, but stops at the threshold of complete understanding and knowledge, and rests there, as if it were meant to be a lesson from anyone who sees.
Brighton Palace Pier
2023 Dec 13
Visited April 16, 2019: I hadn't been to many piers, but this was my first one, and it was just an enjoyable time! Again, the rainy day made the atmosphere a bit glum, but the pier certainly kept its high energy and spirits. Fun all around, but also a nice place for a walk, keeping the entertainment close at hand if you ever need a reason to play to your heart's content; there's one for kids and grown-ups alike. And as with any pier, the view looking back towards the city and the shore is always wonderful.
Bristol Cathedral
2023 Jul 20
Visited May 6, 2019: Beautiful architecture, but have to highlight the back area, since not all cathedrals have such, and how much of a peaceful atmosphere it had.

The nearby City Council building makes for an even more inviting area before you enter the cathedral.
Glenbow Museum

Always a treat and a fun experience to go to Glenbow. A wide variety of both Canadian and international exhibits makes the visit applicable to anyone, and will really make you pass the time without knowing. There’s a lot to see and learn, and it’s nice to see a lot of people really engaged with different artifacts and artworks. Worth the money and your time, and the free first Thursdays of each month is a snag.
