Mythos Greek Restaurant

Great food for price that you don't see often nowadays. Paid 50€ (including a tip) for 5 courses and 2 drinks. Ordered baked feta, bread with garlic butter and baked potato as an appetizer and two pitas with chicken gyros as the main dish. Their portions (as are their drinks!, usually you get small glass bottles for the same, if not higher, price) are actually quite large as well. We definitely did not need as much food as we ordered. Definitely recommend.

We “accidentally” found this restaurant (due to an error in navigating to a different one) and it was a happy mistake! The owner of the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. He speaks English and seemed genuinely thrilled and appreciative to have us there. He was patient to explain the menu and offer suggestions. We settled on a few of the daily specials (pitas and pita plates) and they did not disappoint! Our whole family of 4 enjoys Greek food, and we all agreed it was some of the best we’d ever had. Both the chicken and pork were exceptionally tender and flavorful. The Tzatziki sauce was to die for. Prices were super affordable, especially compared to the restaurants on the main tourist streets. Highly recommend Mythos and would love to return!

Very friendly and fun staff. Great authentic Greek foods, remind me of my family’s home cooked meals (in a good way). Prices are decent as well.

Mythos is a fantastic, small, cozy Greek restaurant with great food, varying in prices, suitable for all customers.

My partner and I had chicken gyros that were freshly cooked with lots of flavour. We were served by who I assume was the owner and a new employee who was very friendly.

The decorations of fish was a beautiful touch, with great atmosphere.

Would recommend this comfortable restaurant to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I came to this Greek restaurant to try Greek food for the first time (there many ethnic restaurant in Amsterdam, it's an international city!). I had the chicken gyros, which is fried potates, chopped chicken meat with black pepper, a white steak, salad with grated carrots and tzatziki sauce. The food was super tasty and the atmosphere was extremely nice, even if the restaurant is small. The waiter is one of the nicest I got to know in my life, he even gave me an extra bowl of tzatziki! There was a nice red candle on every table. As a drink, I had a glass of mojito, which was as tasty as the food (in some countries, they cannot do that). You can pay with card. Five stars without thinking much
