Careful with people selling tickets on the street. They charge 20% taxes and lie to you about ferry departure times. If you're on a tight schedule, you won't make it with these people. Stick to the official stuff.

Be careful of the people hanging around and selling you the tickets! They told us that the ticket for the sunset view at the Statue of Liberty is for $37, but then we were surprised that they charged $147 per person! That’s unacceptable. And when we asked them about why they did that, we found that they charged us for bike rental and sightseeing cruise.

Nice park plenty of benches and some shady spots under trees.

Battery Park is a nice place which you pass through on the way to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. The Latin American hawkers added a nice touch and we bought a woolly hat, because it was chilly and we were taking a ferry.

Very nice view of Statue of Liberty 🗽 and there isn’t many tourists.

Nice view in day , but in nighttime is much better to see the skyline buildings on Manhattan’s.
I booked Fast ferry ticket about 24$ for 50min trip . Located at 22 Battery Pl.
