LACKAWANNA COFFEE

The cashier-girl told me they have fresh pastry every morning, and I ordered the Danish and the croissant. They weren’t fresh, and I am disappointed about the situation.

Otherwise, we enjoyed the atmosphere in the cafe. It also has a cozy garden in the backyard. The latte and the cappuccino were good.

Great cup of coffee & high-end pastry options. (They often sell out of baked goods, so plan to get there before 11am.)

I love this fabulous place! Definitely a go-to place if you are looking for a cafe for a chat or for work. It’s such a humane experience to stay in this space with all the arts, books, soothing yet energetic music inside. The space has two floors and a high ceiling that gives you the room to think, breathe and relax.

Decaf iced latte tasted just ok. There is a backyard seating area which is nice.

One of my top places for coffee and specialty drinks in JC. My go to is their black sesame latte with double shot espresso. Hot or cold, either way is great. The staff is super friendly, especially Val and Gian. Very welcoming. Outdoor area is very relaxing as well.

Only positive is this is the only decent coffee shop close to the path that isn’t Dunkin or Starbucks. It’s a very strange/unhappy place and there are nicer/happier coffee places close by (i.e. Short Grain on Montgomery St.). They disavow capitalism yet a latte is $7+. They also have a sign randomly criticizing/targeting ‘wyt women’ on the wall. Weird virtue signaling vibes overall and most of the baristas are displeased to see customers come in.

Super cute little coffee shop that is actually open early enough in Jersey (7am when most seem to open at 8). Americano was great and the banana Danish was unique and one of the best fruit danishes I’ve ever had!
