I visited Today's Vision. I was not greeted courteously and was disappointed, since I had called before coming. There was a very long wait and the astronomically HIGH cost of the glasses I chose made me decide to ONLY PURCHASE SERVICE FOR ONE PAIR. I went to another optical shop, the next day, and had my other three pairs of glasses done for more than 25% less. The lady who was there, when I picked up my glasses, was very friendly and nice. One of my favorite parts of town. Still feels like old-school Houston. Apparently the theater is coming back! Can’t wait for that plenty of other shopping in the area. parking is tough in some spots, but that’s to be expected in older parts of Houston. Mornings can be laid back, and afternoons can be congested, but overall very chill experience. Not a high pressure area with too many cars and too many people. Evenings are very calm, and the restaurants are usually busy. Love the whole area in general.

Great selection of well known and popular stores. Clean, safe, and parking friendly. Lots of great restaurants too.
Goodbye Galleria.
Goodbye Galleria.

One of my favorite places to watch Late Night movies. The last one was Prince's Purple Rain. I never had a problem going up to watch. Very Much Missed.

Once The River Oaks Cinema reopens, this 1930s Era shopping district will have its soul restored. Looking east along West Gray Street toward downtown, you feel like you are in Los Angeles. Palm trees line the street. Good restaurants and cafes mix with global and local retail shops. This area is an oxymoron in Houston. It is beautiful. And retailers run the gamut from expensive to budget friendly. Literally, anything you need can be found alond West Gray, between Shepherd Drive and Waugh Drive.

I recently visited this fantastic shopping mall and was blown away by the diverse range of offerings. The department store had everything I needed, from stylish clothing to home decor, while the book store was a book lover's paradise with an impressive collection.

Looking pretty much tired, old and a little run down these days. Shame as it this area used to be a prestigious area in Houston for shopping and eating but sadly it seems to be in decline and badly in need of some TLC and possibly a face lift.
