Want a tourist visa? Forget it.

The online process is full of bugs.

When you arrive at the embassy they *still require paper copies of everything* you've uploaded online.

The documents required are insane and hard to obtain. (eg you need a flight ticket and hotel and local guarantor letter but why would you purchase a flight and hotel before even having a visa???? let alone that even if you book there's no guarantee your visa will be issued in time!!)

I can only imagine this impossible process is Ghana's revenge for the European countries making it difficult for Africans to visit Europe, which is sad. Governments need to get their act together and iron out these problems.

Can you kindly pick up calls. I have been calling for over 2 weeks concerning documents I have already sent for authentification. It would be very convenient if calls and mails were attended to.

Very good reception. Thanks to all staff , after some major renovation the place is now accessible by disabled persons. And moreover, passports are now made in Paris , a very speedy process after filling your online forms, renewal is 120 EUR and it's biometric

Sorry to say but I had a horrible experience.
First of I was wrongly informed via phone by the Ghana Embassy in France. I wanted to make sure I was ready and did not want to come to get denied.. I called twice to confirm my situation as I am a Dutch. At the embassy all of a sudden they told me they cannot help me and who did I speak to on phone, because they cannot help me.. everyone acted as if I was going crazy. I asked so can they do nothing I travelled all the way from Lyon to Paris to get this sorted out. The woman was so rude and told me to take my papers so she can help others. I was so embarrrased, shocked and angry.. I remained quiet, packed my things as tears rolled down my face.. All I could think of is if I were to be with an elder would I have had the same treatment; NO! As a student I made all these expenses for nothing and all they could tell me is go back to where you came from (Netherlands), we cannot help you.. there was an elderly woman before me throwing tantrums she did not have the necessary documents yet they remained polite and helped her..So Ghana Embassy staff in France responds to tantrums or elderly people? Either way I learned my lesson bring an elder to get a visa; respect is shown and chances of getting a visa is higher. Horrible experience..
