I don’t know who Charlie is, but their poke bowl is fantastic. California rolls are also great and I added avocado for a dollar which was totally worth it. Decent price, available for delivery, would order again.

Not your typical sushi bar... But the rolls and nigiri won't disappoint!

Since we were in the area and there was a lot of traffic, we quickly googled sushi near me! Well, there were a few, but Poke Sushi Roll rated the highest @ 4.8!

No, not a full service joint. Order at a register, seat yourself, fill your choice of fountain drink. Plastic portion cups for your soy sauce and Wasabi.

We ordered a Super Dragon minus the crab mix. That's the way it should be on the menu, it was above average. The other rolls were good. Price wise, it seemed slightly less than most other sushi places.

It's definitely worth a try.

First time, service was better than 5 stars: very friendly greetings and helpful cashier; she checked in with the table after the plate was delivered and male picked up the tray, also more firsts for a quick serve restaurant. Ordered the Super Dragon Roll. Not as ornate as some of the review pics, but flavorful and fresh which is always a must with raw fish. I'll be back to try more menu items. Fresh decor with menu easily accessible.

Very stingy with their protein scoops. Photo is a large with “3” scoops.

Everything that is normally included as an option for free at other poke places are a $1 charge here (avocado, krab salad, masago)

Delicious and filling rolls, especially the baked ones. We ordered four rolls (island roll, rainbow star roll, double shrimp roll, and mockingbird roll). They were savory, and the raw fish tasted fresh.

A bit pricey in my opinion (each roll added up to roughly $20 with taxes and tips) but overall very tasty with good service. Would definitely recommend to people :)

This might be my new favorite sushi spot! Incredibly fresh ingredients, generous portions of extras like avocado, fish roe, and seaweed salad. The brown rice was very flavorful and served at the perfect temperature and the mixed greens were on point. Super friendly staff, spotless dining with well organized condiments. I've seen other places with staff playing on their phones while the staff here cleaned and organized throughout my stay and I was pretty much the only one here. Great to see such pride in their work.
There is a huge selection of item, and I can't wait to come back and try them all!
*BONUS: They have Lime Topochico!!

I have tried many great sushi restaurants in the past and some great ones in Dallas. With the above being said, I hold certain expectations when evaluating a sushi restaurant against their price-point. I came into Poke Sushi Roll with high expectations and was excited, since it (at this time) carries a 4.8/5 star. I have to say I was underwhelmed. While there weren't any problems or outright complaints, I would have expected better for the price. See the below:

Cleanliness: A clean 5 out of 5 stars.
Ambiance: Again, a solid 5 out of 5 stars.
Price-point: 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Flavor: 3 out of 5 stars.
Presentation: 2 out of 5 stars.

I ordered the 'Charlie's Bowl'. Seemed to be no dressing of any kind that helps meld the flavors of the various ingredients of the bowl together. Every tuna poke bowl always has at minimum the tuna/salmon tossed in a soy/sesame oil/rice vinegar type dressing and sometimes will have a touch of red chili spice to that dressing. Mixed in will often be masago and some green onion. This bowl was completely missing that. It was a ball of rice, with a small amount of greens (which had coarse iceberg lettuce in it - cheaper and lower quality) and on top was a lacking amount of fresh tuna and salmon, which were very small bits and not hearty quality chunks of fish that I would expect for a bowl that's $17 bucks and served in a takeout plastic dish.

I ordered the 'Greenville Roll' and although it was good, it wasn't great. It was well, forgettable and at $16 bucks and again, served in a plastic to-go dish, it just lacked. This is the same price point as Sa-Sa Sushi, which is just a couple miles away. Sa-Sa, by comparison, easily scores a full 5 out of 5 stars in every category and for the same price and served on actual dishes, if dining in.

I also ordered the 'Mini-Ahi-Tower'. Was very disappointed. It was 90% plain rice with a tiny (almost invisible) layer of crab mix on top and then tiny cubes of tuna on top with a few tiny pieces of avocado around the perimeter and finally a drizzling of some sauce. The sauce tasted good but it was a very poor representation of a good tuna tower, which I've had at many sushi restaurants. Additionally no finishing touches such as maybe various colors of masago, green onion, arugula, other sauce types, etc.

Finally the individual that was with me, ordered the chicken teriyaki and it was again just 'good' but lacked the finish and depth of flavor that I would expect. Again, served in a throw-away plastic dish.

Overall synopsis would be they appear to be cutting corners and keeping prices high. The problem with that mantra is that customers do notice and it will eventually take a toll on repeat business. For what I received, I would expect a tab on the order of maybe 30-35 bucks, not $65. I'm just not inclined to return. I'll simply go to Sa Sa Sushi if I'm going to drop 65 bucks on a few items.
