About half the park is rolling mowed lawns perfect for picnics and Frisbee throws, but short on shade. The other half is a nature preserve, mostly a marsh, attentively maintained, with a good length of accessible, wide viewing paths, perfect for a walk. There's also the large namesake Cascades water feature that's refreshing in summer. And finally a locally famous ice cream concession that serves surprisingly rich, flavorful, generously large flurries, sundaes, cones, and such.
This is a great park, my kids love it! It's clean, well taken care of and there is ice cream and a splash pad near by. There are tons of trails to walk on and beautiful scenery to appreciate.
It was your average park with a playground and picnic tables. Very disappointed that the Cascade Falls were closed for the season. Across the street is (I believe) the non-tourist trap part of the park where I was able to take a brisk walk in a somewhat woodsy area.
A great place to bring your family. Beautiful falls, great music and incredible multi-color lighting. Also a great place for exercise if you don't mind taking steps up and around the falls. My parents took me there as a youngster, and I still enjoy going 60 years later.

We didn't stay for the evening, because the light show doesn't start until May. Brought the scooter, and had a great time on all the paths. Lots of people out, walking the trails, riding their bicycles, walking their dogs, and generally having a wonderful time on a really warm day.
Great park to take your kids to play. If you like to walk or jog a nice path. If you end up hungry for some food or some ice cream there’s a little food shack right there. Also the water falls are there as well. Not bad spot to watch fire works.
