Reception hatch is on first floor, friendly, welcoming, good customer service. Nice little room, two single beds and bathroom ensuite. Good value, no frills, toilet paper and towels provided. Within a few minutes walk, there is a supermarket Rewe, with an escalator down to it, as it is underground/basement level. There is a Starbucks within view. There are restaurants within minutes walk, hidden in a shopping and residential mall. is "Italiamamia" has good service, tasty food, affordable,, relaxed, suits couples, families and customers with well behaved dog lying at their feet or person on their own. The hotel is on a quiet, bright pedestrianised street The hotel is next to the Sendlingter Tor, an old city gate, easy walking distance to sights and transport links.

Overall, the Hotel Atlanta was a really good place to stay for the price range. The first thing to mention is the location is wonderful. That's what you're getting when you go to the Atlanta. Inside the arches for the Marienplatz, and just a few minutes walk from the New Town Hall. The staff was friendly. Rooms were a bit cramped and dated, but overall very clean and well kept. The cleaning staff only come at around 9 am at the latest, so if you want a late morning you will be on your own for the day in that regard. I would reccomend getting the breakfast. We didn't, but looking back it was probably a great deal. Smelled and looked delicious.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. For a small fee breakfast is also served. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful. They bend over backwards for you.

The Location of this hotel is excellent being close to the Sendlinger-Tor U-bahn and tram stop, which offers great connectivity to most of central Munich and a very convenient direct line to the Schloss Nymphenburg. For the price of this hotel, whilst basic in amenities you won't be able to beat the location. However...

The checkin experience was a disaster. A few days prior to arriving at the hotel, I informed the staff that we were likely to arrive late, at around 22:30. They informed me that the front desk closes at 22:00 and so they would leave our keys in one of the external keysafes and gave me the code.

Our flight was delayed and so we arrived later than expected, at about 23:00. Upon arriving at the hotel, the designated keysafe was completely empty. There was no response to the doorbell and our phone calls went unanswered. As you can imagine, being stranded in a foreign city at such a late hour was extremely distressing. We finally found another hotel with a 24 hour reception that had room available for roughly 50% more than the Atlanta room rate. Nonetheless, we were very grateful of a place to stay. If you are likely to arrive at the hotel anywhere near 22h (e.g. if you flight lands after 20:30) then do not stay here. Be aware also that any flight delays could put you in this region and I would not trust the staff to not leave you in the lurch. The staff were apologetic when we arrived the next day and discounted us the night we did not stay, but otherwise offered no other compensation.

The other downside is the shared bathroom. Whilst I have no issues sharing a bathroom with other guests at this room rate, the bathroom in question was a walk across a hallway and 3 doors. This was further than I was expecting and is inconvenient at night time.

The price was good, the amenities were decent, but we were only told breakfast would be 16 euro for 2 after eating, which was a surprise because we were invited to breakfast and every other hotel we've stayed at in the last week gave a free breakfast.

I stayed in this nice and cosy private hotel during 5 days. I like it because of its location, just in the Munich city centre, clean and tidy room; Internet access is wireless and free (with speed up to 700 kB/s). The service at the receptions desk was always rather welcome. Breakfast is not big but good enough. It’s not easy to park your car though, however, if you are lucky, in front of the hotel it is free for the whole night. A lot of beautiful shops are just scattered around here, just a few steps away..
