My husband is from Mexico 🇲🇽 “so we appreciated the flavor authenticity in every detail!!! From the beverages, salsa, and cheese it all has a homemade taste!!!

Great burritos! I like that there's lettuce in the Super burrito, adds a nice freshness & crunch. Great salsa bar and very friendly staff. Not to be confused with the other Jalisco's in town. Also great, no apparent relation.

It is satisfying to find a Mexican restaurant where the cooks and obviously the owners as well take the time to give the food that extra special touch that makes every bite of your meal enjoyable.
Los Portales Jaliscos is definitely one of those places.

This was a nice Mexican restaurant in town. The owner of this place is super nice and she has been here for a really long time. I was a little skeptical coming here because in the Bay Area, we have a ton of good Mexican restaurants, but this place was really good.

We had a great experience last night. Arrived 10 min before close (so sorry!) and they graciously welcome all 17 of us with warm
smiles. The food was delicious, seating great, but the service was amazing. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality!

Large portions, fresh and always tasty. Hostesses are friendly and helpful, service is quick and accurate. This is our second visit this week, easily becoming our favorite restaurant in SLT! Fajita burritos are amazing, you have to try one, especially if regular fajitas make you nuts trying to get everything in one bite. This wraps it all up so you get all that yummyness in each bite and not drip it all over your front!

Solid Mexican food in South Lake Tahoe at reasonable prices. Our only complaint was that the carnitas were a bit on the dry side. Get three tacos for $12 and a plate of loaded nachos with a meat of your choice for $10.50. The staff were all super friendly too. We'd recommend a visit if you're craving Mexican food while visiting South Lake Tahoe!
