You have to walk like 1 km from the last bus stop, but it is worth it, beautiful church, so peaceful, and you can see many old art pieces on the walls of the church, and the view from the top is breathtaking, definitely worth to walk , you can only hear the sounds of nature nothing else, and there is a restaurant right next to the church, and when walk down again don’t forget to buy some gift from the old man on the road 💯😊 i will always remember this place and i hope i will come again to pray and relax 🙏🏼❤️
The hike up to the church is highly recommended, there you can get the best views of büyük ada
You must walk up about 1 kilometre to arrive at the church. The church is on top of the mountain. The view is incredible and stunning. 😍
It must be nice if you enjoy climbing. 😂
When you arrive here, after a while you must come back down and you should say bye to your knees. 😂😂

A bit of trek up to the church, but most definitely worth it. Bring a bottle of water with you and make sure you use the bathroom before starting your journey.
⛪️ 🏝️The Church of St. George (Aya Yorgi in Turkish). It is located on Büyükada, the largest of the Princes’ Islands.
It’s a peaceful place with its history and dramatic happening along the ages.
The way to the church isn’t so easy walk. Let’s say it is pilgrim’s trail.
So be sure you have comfortable shoes👟👟
Inside the church you can see exceptional icons made in Greek style. And the famous and old one is the icon of Saint George.
Better to travel during spring or early autumn season but despite this I’ve been there early December and the weather was quite good.
Summer period might not be the best to visit these special places.

It's a 1km incline walk to the top but the views are worth it. If you packed some lunch, this is an excellent spot to eat and take a break from your hike
Very beautiful place. The road is bit tiring, especially when it’s hot, but panoramic view of Marmara sea is stunning. Everyone should see it.
